Depending on how you time it...this is a VERY short trip. You can't walk through the main part of the temple, but there are some nice views and paths around it that make it worth the visit. The topography leads for some nice views around the bay. You don't need more than 1-2 hours there.

When your done go back to the mai highway turn left and you will see the sign for Aegeon Hotel go down the hill and have dinner on the beach there are two locations both are great. You will get to see the temple from your table all lot up in the evening its incredible.

The hotel is located at the tip of Cape Sounion with a very nice beach at its doorstep. Beautiful view of the sunset. Also just five minutes drive to the Temple of Poseidon. Dinner at Verandah Restaurant was excellent (we had fresh seafood). Staff were very helpful and friendly. Good base to explore the Sounion area.

We have been here before many times and we prefer this place to spend our last days of vacation in Greece. The reasons are obvious: the vicinity to the temple of Poseidon at Cap Sounion in walking distance, the excellent service and rooms in the hotel, the quiet and sandy beach in front of the hotel and the two tavernas in the neighbourhood that complement the good hotel restaurant. And finally the option to drive to the airport of Athens within 40 minutes.

The view from the beach at the hotel of the Temple of Poseidon is stunning. The bay is lovely to swim in. This is an idyllic spot with an excellent restaurant close by. The hotel buffet breakfast had a very good choice of food. The staff in the restaurant and bar were lovely and the hotel very clean.

Lovely hosts and a great location for visiting the temple of Poseidon. Lovely apartment - bigger than we needed for a 1 night stay but very comfortable and also came with a lovely bottle of wine!

The apartment was as advertised-wonderful in a beautiful area. Organized beach across the street, the Temple of Poseidon just a few miles down the road, nice restaurants peppered along the main roadway-could not have asked for more. Would definitely like to return one day. We have great memories from our stay.

This is a lovely beachside hotel right next to the Temple of Poseidon (easy hike). The staff was attentive, friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was included and they had a lot of dishes from eggs to salmon, pastries, and more. We had a suite with two beds for three people--good value. We were there the first week of August and it was surprisingly empty.

The location was beautiful and the hosts were really friendly and generous. We had both the apartments split over two floors which worked really well. The balconies were lovely and the roos all had excellent AC. Great base to see the cape, and the Temple of Poseidon.

This was the best equipped apartment we have ever rented, and we've stayed at 50+ different places. Not only was it spotlessly clean, very comfortable and spacious, with strong WiFi, and great water pressure, but the kitchen was better equipped than my own. We could have moved in and lived there permanently. The hosts were very accommodating and drove us to the Temple of Poseidon for sunset for a very reasonable extra charge. It has our highest recommendation.

Superb and huge buffet breakfast, one of the best I’ve ever had. Really nice, uncrowded pool area with nice pool bar/restaurant. Good private beach with good sun beds. And best of all, beautiful views of the Temple of Poseidon from the hotel, pool and beach.

Fantastic apartment with beautiful views. Well located to explore the Temple of Poseidon, we also visited Kape beach which was beautiful. Supermarket about 7 mins drive away. The hosts were so friendly and even loaned a basketball for my son to use the hoop.
