Lovely hotel and very dated but that gives the character

Lovely secluded hotel and lovely breakfast on the outskirts but easily commute to all areas very quickly Very quiet and my dog also enjoyed his stay

Nowhere to pop out too was in the middle of nowhere you do need a car. Bit pricey for soft drinks £2.10 for a very small bottle of coke.

Stayed 2 nights and never seen any other guests seemed to be the only person there both nights , never seen anyone at breakfast. The breakfast was very nice There were plenty of it A few rugby people dropped the first night for drinks, Quite dated could do with a lick of paint in places ,no lift ,stairs a little steep,but quite a comfortable room ,although I had to be changed to another room ,But despite everything it wasn't all bad coffee tea biscuits in room shower was over the bath . The owner was very friendly and accommodating don't know if I would stay again due to location as I don't drive

Room furniture was strange. No chair in the room, only a small stool with a backrest, only suitable for a child. No lift and step stairs to the rooms. No night staff, a large metal shutter separating the hotel entrance from the rest of the hotel, relying on hotel guests to ensure the front door is closed and locked at night. No breakfast menu, again relying on the staff to remember what was available. Tea in a flask was cold.

Location was excellent for our reason for visiting the area in the first place, good welcome from the staff and room was clean and tidy.

Bathroom floor flooded when using shower. Bedroom windows leaked when raining. Would have eaten at hotel but not much choice for kids.

There wasn't anything I didn't like but the evening menu doesn't have that much choice and the Christmas decorations were still up in the bar area but no biggy.

Location was perfect nice and quiet so didn't have to worry too much about the van being parked up over night. The room was a good size and cleaned every day. The staff were very pleasant making sure we had all we needed but also not too in your face.

The decor was dated in its interior, however having read many other reviews I was pleased that many other complaints were no longer accurate. The shower was fine and there was more than enough very hot water. Yes the decor needs some updating but it was perfect for what we needed- a couple of night accommodation for a wedding.

The location was perfect for the wedding we were attending at Delamere Manor- les than 5 mins (£15 taxi or £5 Uber, although Uber was hard to get on the way home!). The hotel was very quiet and lots of parking. The breakfast was nice, cereal and freshly cooked hot breakfast. The staff were really friendly.

Bathroom shower head dripped all the time, decor bit tired, no welcome pack in room and wasn't told what time breakfast was at check in. We got up early to make sure, but it would have been good to know. Weren't serving food on Saturday, which having travelled over 4 hours, was very disappointing, especially as having a restaurant on site was one of the reasons we chose this accommodation. Mirror and dressing table not brilliantly lit if you wanted to do make-up. A small table lamp would have helped.

The little present left outside the main door from a dog walker, well the dog that the lazy walker didn't clear up after.

Breakfast was not served until 8:00 and I needed to be gone before then, so I didn't get breakfast. There was no flexibility in this - poor compared to other hotels in the area. The restaurant doubles as a local bar so on the evening it was quite noisy, with rowdy children.

The hotel was not far from Oulton Park and had ample parking. The room itself was comfortable, if a little on the small side. Nice that the room included a bath - but just as well it did, because the shower was useless!

The carpets in my room were not clean.

The room and facilities were in need of some TLC, wallpaper peeling from walls, carpets very worn, tiles in bathroom missing grout and shower screen missing the waterproofing resulting in a very wet floor. Unable to shut the window as the catch was warped and there had been a water leak from the roof at some point as there was plaster bulging above the window.

Off the beaten track so quiet Suited our needs travelling to Oulton Park for BSB only 5 miles away. Breakfast was very good and plentiful
