Posada el Quijote is located in San José and housed in a colonial-style building. It has a spacious garden, free Wi-Fi access and a snack bar. Posada El Quijote was such a little peaceful oasis in San Jose. I stayed here the night I arrived, in the middle of my trip in transit through San Jose, and also the last night before I flew out. Each time I arrived I felt like I'd come home. Everything is lovely - the people, the atmosphere, the beautiful pool and view, the rooms, and the breakfast. It's definitely worth getting a superior room, they are beautiful with little balconies and wonderful views. They also have the sweetest cats around. I will definitely be coming back here and would recommend to anyone coming to San Jose!

Situated on the edge of Los Quetzatles National Park, Sueños del Bosque offers rustic bungalows with a free daily breakfast, free WiFi and views of the tropical cloud forest. It was beautiful with Hummingbirds all over the place. I requested a change of date for our stay and it was accepted without any additional costs. Host replies quickly. There is a short trail to the waterfall which we also liked. Food and service in the restaurant was great too and for a decent price.

Terrazas de Golf Boutique Hotel offers direct access to Cariari Golf Course and transportation to Juan Santamaría International Airport, which is 5 km away. Fantastic service, very clean, charming place with personality which makes you feel like you are in Costa Rica. A few hundred meters to a small center with a small supermarket and a handful of restaurants; we had Mexican which was nice. Solid breakfast included with fresh fruit, special made omelets, etc Our kid had birthday and the staff was so nice they had made a cake 🎂 which was a compliment from the house.
