Greeted with a smile and for 3 days we were treated like royalty. Information for the area and directions was so helpful and made our visit so much easier.

The charming chalet-style Fassbind hotel is quietly situated in Beatenberg high above Lake Thun facing the imposing Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau mountains. I like Everything about this property, the property is just full of surprises and history and Danny the man the Swiss version of Ryan Reynolds just made everything so interesting and was full of surprises, and his wife the boss makes sure Danny is doing his job correctly (just kidding , she is just a gentle soul that makes some kick ass paninis !. We had a full on bbq with a crazy good view it was just like heaven with good company , and they became dear friends that we will miss 100% they do have the slogan in German (I didn’t understand it until we were leaving. And he translated it , it says you come as guests and you leave as friends) these guys just made Interlakken better, oh yea I didn’t forget Heidi , their new 6 months puppy , she was such a good girl and funny Swiss mountain dog. Focus on the details in the property , there is a story behind each one , spend a day with them and ask for a bbq the next day , wood fire bbq and marsh mellows my wife my mum and our friends we had a blast with that view. The lake view room my mum was in , was breath taking ; the Mountain View one has a side view of the lake , all rooms with balcony . Oh yea the breakfast was something else , super good , if you like abit of spicy , ask for Dannie’s special scrambled eggs, these hosts were very generous and super nice and I can’t thank them enough. Helmysigt, väldigt retro, men det framgår ju av namnet. Läget perfekt för tågresenärer, fyra minuters resa från Interlaken, och fem minuters promenad. Floden framför hotellet och träbron över den gillade alla i gruppen, kyrkklockorna var det dock delade meningar om. God frukost. Prisvärt. Bra utgångspunkt för utflykter i Jungfrau-området.

You need to stay here, better than expected. We stayed for a week, and even contemplated cancelling some of our trip elsewhere to stay longer. Super relaxing, friendly staff, can rent activities like paddle boarding on the lake (but is very expensive), or just lay on the grass for the day. They supply you with beach towels. Gave us free passes to use the busses and boat that operates out of the huge lake right at your doorstep. Bus stop right out the front to take you to the main stations/city. Beautiful running tracks around. Breakfast was a large buffet with all you can think of! Perfect location away from the loud tourists while still in a central location. Mini fridge and lots of storage space. We will be back!! This hotel has our heart and you can view the snowy alps right from your balcony overlooking the lake. (24 year old couple).

One of the best hotels I’ve stayed at. The breakfast is nice and the hotel is situated away from the busy part of town where the train station/shops are. Despite this, it’s only a 5 min walk to the centre. If I am in Interlaken again, I’ll definitely be staying.

The hotel was nicely situated overlooking the lake, the views were absolutely stunning. The staff at the hotel were amazing and couldn’t be more friendly or accommodating - the lady at check in gave us recommendations of activities to try since we travelled a little out of season. The directions to find the hotel were simple enough to follow. The breakfast at the hotel was very nice, large selection of fresh food and juices. The bed was very comfortable. Overall, very pleased to stay at this hotel, and great value for the money.

The beautiful resort with full kitchen and impeccably clean apartments are in the perfect location - quiet area of the main street, 10 minute walk to Interlaken Ost and 5-10 minute walk to the supermarkets and other restaurants. It is managed like a 5-star hotel (but is very homey), by warm, kind, friendly and very helpful people. Special mention to Andrea who communicated with me prior to our stay and waited for my family and I even when we arrived late. To Samantha who helped us with the washing machine and allowed us to check out late. To Peter who was patient and committed in helping us when we needed to find the exhaust of the stove and explaining to us our train pass options that enabled us to all the more enjoy the Jungfrau region. We also loved starting our day with our breakfast and their dining area that overlooks to a beautiful park.
