Short walk to the things you want to see when you are in NOLA. We had a small issue with our first room, and they were very quick to get us another room. The rooms were very clean. Air conditioning worked great. Rooms were mid-sized and comfortable. The overall look of the hotel was very "New Orleans". I would stay here again.

If you are looking to avoid crowds, its tough. Find restaurants off the beaten track and at different times than are typical eating times. Avoid Bourbon street at night on the weekend, more of a crowd drinking scene anyway so if crowds aren't your thing, not really where you should be looking. The fact is that it is a popular place so it is tough to miss people, but strike out on your own and explore and there are some great things to see.
