The building is absolutely beautiful and charming, the staff were incredibly nice and understanding when we arrived a bit late due to traffic, the room was big, super cozy and warm, the bedding surprisingly comfy. While the location isn't exactly central, the surrounding area is wonderful, filled with charming houses and little squares that lead to a forest where you can walk up the hill - which provides a panoramic view of the city - and then down towards the centre. Also, it is easily reachable by a tram that comes by very often and the intersection next to the hotel has a variety of shops. One more noteworthy aspect would be the amazing air quality due to the proximity to the forest. All in all very happy with the experience and super excited to go back to this magical spot in this incredible city. 🧡✨

The Hotel Rose in Heidelberg offers rooms and apartments in different categories. The historic Old Town is 3.5 k.m from the property, while the Heidelberg Castle is 3.9 k.m away. Quiet location, comfortable bed, great dinner in a restaurant and awesome breakfast. Apparently hotel is now under new management and lady of the house made sure I felt right at home. It is also not far from the city centre, only maybe 10 minute drive.

It is wheelchair friendly though you need an assistant with you. The bed that is big size (for two people) is a bit high. The chair in the shower is not connected to the wall so it's not easy to keep balance on it. The bathroom and room are good even if you come with electric wheelchair. In our room there was electric cattle and pan with saucepan and fridge and microwave. The microwave is positioned higher, not reachable for an wheelchair user. Otherwise perfect 😊 We arrived in the night hours and they were so nice to leave the key for us in the keybox outside and gave us the code on messenger one day before. For such situations write them an email and keep your phone charged on the way. The keybox is a bit high for a wheelchair user but fine if you have assistant with you.
