I was returning by train from Berlin to Basel, when a freak rainstorm wiped out the DB signalling system and we all had to leave the train at Karlsruhe, further travel impossible. Some people slept the night in the train - some, like me, blew a hundred Euros on comfort. I booked, using my mobile phone , while standing in line at this hotel along with dozens of others. Totally uncomplicated, very comfortable room, friendly staff. Great location, next to the station. I would go there for a future visit to Karlsruhe!

The reception is digital and went smoothly so you don’t see the staff that much and that saves costs I guess. The room was simple but clean with tea and coffee, a kettle and a fridge so nice small add ons… and the breakfast was very diverse. There was always a vegan dish, cheeses and meets, fresh fruit and vegtables and lots of nuts, seeds and dry fruit to pep up your musli so I guess what they save on staff goes into a good breakfast - it’s not fancy but has everything you need…

The royal palace and its surrounding park and federal...
The royal palace and its surrounding park and federal offices are worth visiting. Also the historic main square with its pyramid is a well designed place. There is a lot of public art and small little plates on posts with highly critical comments on the political reality in Germany - amazing. Downtown is kind of frozen in the 1970s and the main pedestrian zone is too big for this town size. The street car is underground which reduced the street vibrancy of the Kaiserstrasse. Most stores and restaurants are outdated. The pedestrianized side streets are without life. Majority of buildings is from the 1960s and 1970s and appear unkept and rundown. Somehow Karlsruhe is an odd place. Getting around by car without the navigation on is a challange.

For the city in general, more English speaking would be better for the city, but it’s understandable why they wouldn’t speak as much English compared to other cities. Regardless I really enjoyed my stay and people were friendly and good hearted in general, I recommend anyone to take a visit when possible.
It’s very simple to get around via public transport. The food is good and there is a lot to choose from.

The city was bigger than expected with a lot to do. The Palace was a museum/gallery rather than a traditional palace and I would highly recommend climbing the tower stairs! Lots of other museums, churches and gardens etc or there are loads of places for shopping.

There's a youthful college-town vibe to the cafes and bars downtown; the city is flat so it's easy to walk everywhere, the Natural History Museum is not to be missed if you like that sort of thing, public transport is better than most, very good restaurant scene

It is in a beautiful location in the Schwarzwald.
It is in a beautiful location in the Schwarzwald. The hotel is in a quiet location though a five or so minute walk from the hauptbahnhof. If zoos are your thing there is one literally across the street. The location is well connected with busses, trams, and trains. You can see so many surrounding towns this way. Either get a land ticket (regional trains) or a day ticket (bus and trams).
I would visit again Karlsruhe again.
I only stayed at this hotel for one night so I have very little to share about the place. What caught my attention immediately upon arrival was how friendly and welcoming the staff were. That's a rare thing in German hospitality system, and so should definitely be appreciated here. The hotel has an air of wholehearted modernity and comfort about it. My room was meticulously clean. The wallpaper in the bathroom had drawings of Karslruhe's attractions :D Next time I am in Karlsruhe, I'd gladly stay here again.
Everything (except capsule lenght and headphones) was good: Bed was comfortabe, capsule was cool, pillow was big and semi hard. Breakfast was OK (an option for regular/vegeterian toast + 2 sweet breads/waffels + juice). As I understand the location was the most central you could wish (arrived late, left early- couldn't verify), that's good. To sum it up: very good value for the price (approx. 45 eur). Would use hotel again.
The ANA Eden is a very nice, comfortable hotel. Staff were generally very helpful and cooperative and reception willingly agreed to print some documents for me without charge. My room was pleasant but a rather curious shape with a thin corridor running along the window side. In the heat wave from which Germany was suffering at the time the air conditioning worked well - almost too well! Good, strong (free) wifi.
The cocktail bar and the bar staff was amazing. The tall bartender guy was trying to make up for our entire trip and he was doing amazing job I must say, if it wasn’t for him I’d give lower score. The morning reception staff was also very friendly. The breakfast was good and also available longer hours than most of the hotels.
I like the room in General. The Receptionist staff are friendly. The receptionist speaks English. Cost wise it is a bit on the higher side for the facilities that they provide. I would say 30 euro per night should be a good deal for this hotel.
Thanks for the hospitality.
I stayed in this hotel already 2 times and will definitely come back. Friendly reception. Rooms have everything you need. Interior of the hotel is reminds art museum. This is good classic German hotel. Furniture is not new but it checks out. Big plus - hotel's parking area.
Breakfast was fine, good choises, but could last more then until 9am. It would be nice say to about 10pm. Hotel surrounding is very calm, lot of trees, possibilities to running and quiet places to rest. Very friendly place, far away from traffic.
Everything about my stay was excellent! Very convenient and central location, very nice facilities, comfortable room and bed and a great view of the market square! Super friendly and helpful staff, a great breakfast. Highly recommend the hotel!!
Really disappointed. Employee totally disorganised, missing intern communication and bad management.
We do not think we will book the same hotel next year for the fair we attend, and we will do bad publicity of the hotel.
This was a nice hotel in an older building. The lobby, staff, and reception area with coffee, tea, cookies, and candy were wonderful. The breakfast was very good. The location to tram, train station, and zoo were nice.
the room was really spacious and modern. very clean. the bathroom and the shower were wonderful. it was also really nice to have a restaurant in the hotel for an evening meal.
Amazing breakfast! ❤️Convenient on tram line from/to the main station right outside hotel. Great bakery/restaurant opposite hotel. Nice coffee station in room.
