Very friendly welcome at reception with easy check in and directions to secure parking at the back of the hotel. Good size room which incorporated a bath rather than just a shower. Easy walk into the centre of town and enjoyed the historical suggested circular walk. Lots of choice for restaurants and cafés.
Le Terminus is situated opposite Mons Railway Station and offers rooms with a balcony. It has free Wi-Fi in the public areas and a restaurant serving French and Italian cuisine.

Surprisingly nice hotel directly in the city center with views over the main square. Staff were super friendly - they called me when I was running late to make sure there were no issues. The location is fantastic and unless there is a fireworks show going on, the room is quiet. A/C in the room was nice, overall the room was in excellent condition and well sized. Hotel is above/associated with a Lebanese restaurant, so you don't have to go far to eat.

The suggested walking route took in the majority of the historical buildings in the town. The centre square is very interesting - don't forget to rub the monkey statue by the town hall on the head!

This city may be not at your radar screen and may be easily eclipsed by Brussels, Gent or Antwerp - but if you decide to visit Mons, you will be surprised how many things it has to offer. A plethora of restaurants and bars, magnificent churches, interesting museums (Mons Memorial, Doudou Museum, Mundaneum, art museum - well, now in renovation but organising events, the Belfry and more) and, most of all, a great atmosphere of a typical Waloon city, the streets that can lead you to new discoveries... I was really enchanted! And it will be even better as one can see a lot of restoration works in the city ongoing, including a, well, imposing, railway station. This city has a potential, indeed.

Mons is the site of the first contact between the British...
Mons is the site of the first contact between the British Expeditionary Force and the invading German armies in August 1914. The British were stuck in a difficult position owing to the fact that their flanking French allies had retreated without informing the British, and they had to dig in along the Mons-Conde-Charleroi canal, which they held against all odds for the day of 23rd August 1914. Not only were the first shots exchanged here, but also the first two Victoria Crosses were won during the battle. If you have a good guide or guidebook, the greater part of the battlefield is largely unchanged, and after a day of looking round, you have the town square of Mons, where the troops rested before moving up to contact. The square is unchanged, and anyone who has seen any of the photos taken at the time will be able to situate themselves easily - while enjoying a beer of a meal at any of the town's excellent bars and restaurants. I recommend the Lebanese restaurant on the main square.

The area around the railway station is under contruction (for years); however this small city is charming. The central square with a renaissance city hall and many terraces is beautiful and lively and there are some interesting sights to see (museums, church, belfry). On the other side of the station is a big modern shopping mall.

This was just a stopover on our homeward journey. There is a HUGE redevelopment at the station just opposite the hotel, although they had stopped work when we got there. We might come back in two years to see the work when it is finished. Right now it looks like a giant spaceship!

Rather lovely city to walk in and enjoy the cosy streets.
Rather lovely city to walk in and enjoy the cosy streets. The Belfry and historical city hall and surrounding buildings are very nice to see and visit. The city offers big brand shops but also smaller niche stores when you look for it. Great chocolate milk by the way at the Texas café :)
We arrived earlier and they let us take our luggage in the room so we can leave for our trips. It has a nice terrace outside and a garden for kids to play. The breakfast was good. The room was clean. The staff helped us getting a taxi. They have a restaurant and serve lunch and dinner which is great if you don’t want to pay for taxis to get in the city and back . If you have kids there is plenty of games, puzzles and books you can keep them entertained ( in our case the second day was raining so we stayed in) .
Dear Robert and Francoise, thank you so much for a best accommodation ever. You made me feel like a part of your amazing family, no words to describe how comfortable and inspired I felt in your fantastic apartment. Everything in this place made from heart and filled with love and soulful energy. Art is everywhere- paintings, books, furniture, design and a way of human being. Dream hotel! Amazing hosts! ❤️
I will always remember your kindness and this remarkable experience.
Great location, close to the Grand Place, grocery store, and major routes. This is a beautiful apartment, with a bright and spacious living room offering views of the Mons Belfry. The kitchen was very well equipped. It was very comfortable and surprisingly quiet. The area is very safe. The owner was very nice and accomodating when we we had a special request. Thank you very much! We highly recommend this apartment and would definitely stay here again.
This is a lovely hotel located exactly on the main plaza. There are lots of restaurants and activities here as well as the main sightseeing attractions. The staff were very nice as were the rooms. Breakfast was exceptional with many items hand made by the owner. Pricing and location could not be better.
The room was very spacious. There was free parking on the road outside, which really helped. Though there was paid private parking of the hotel, the staff was kind enough to let us know that we could park outside on the road for free if space is available. The location was nice, 10 mins walk to the center.
The room and the hotel were clean and quiet. I feel really good there and we were welcomed in the reception without any problem :) This hotel meet my expectations. We chose this hotel during our visit to see the Festival of Lights in Mons and the location of this hotel was perfect for this event.
very comfortable bed, nice bathroom and Serge was very nice and helped us out to find our way around Mons as well as helping us out when we realised we’d forgotten to bring a phone charger adapter. it was great value for the quality of the accommodation! would highly recommend if staying in Mons!
The staff we met including the cleaner and reception could not do enough for you to ensure you had a good stay in the hotel as well as Mons. Our dog was fully catered for including bowls and treats in the room. She was not excluded from anywhere. Would definitely stay again.
The location of the hotel is very good. 200 meters from the Grande Place. Walking distance to everywhere. The room was very clean, the bed is comfortable enough. Nice garden view and the kitchen has sufficient equipment to eat and drink. Hotel owner was very kind.
The apartments are managed from Hotel Lido, just on the other side of the street where the buildings are located, so you can benefit 24/7 reception and assistance. Rooms are small and distributed on 3 floors: for a short term stay it's quite OK.
The room was amazing and staff was very helpful. The included breakfast exceeded my expectations. We would definitely stay here again and would look for another Martin's Dream hotel in the future.
Good communication, nice room (very nicely decorated, good size), nice, big bathroom with good lighting and a great shower. Available sitting area and kitchen with kettle and coffee machine.
Very friendly staff! Beautiful hotel with great new spa facilities. Spacious room with a balcony overlooking the city of Mons. Free parking in front of the hotel.
