Broughton Street offered lots of quaint shops to look through. There are lots of different cuisines as well. Walking on River Street was really nice. There were quite a few places to eat on River Street, but not lots of shopping. Broughton Street offered more for shopping, but both areas made for nice walks. The two favorite places to eat were The Pirate House and The Common (more upscale and $$). The BEST was the mixology class we took in a Speakeasy! There were quite a few homeless in both areas, but that usually comes with a larger city, just be prepared.

We enjoyed the historic buildings.
We enjoyed the historic buildings. Lots of options for restaurants and we found most to be affordable. Be prepared to walk, you really don't need a car while there. We took the land and sea tour which provided a lot of information and history of the town. We also did a walking ghost tour which also provided history. If you haven't read Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil it is a nice one to read after you have visited the city and recognize all of the places mentioned. This would especially be fun with a group of ladies because there is a lot of shopping on Broughton St. that we didn't do because my husband is not a shopper. Make sure to visit Wormsloe Historic Site while you are there.

Savannah has a lot of wonderful history and culture.
Savannah has a lot of wonderful history and culture. We took a haunted tour (very corny but still a lot of history) I enjoyed the tour guides and found their stories very entertaining . We took a ride out to Tybee Island and spent some time on the beach. Tybee needs to rethink its parking for beach goers but overall I look forward to my next visit. We stopped at an IHOP for breakfast which was horrible from the time we walked in the door. Slow seating, extra slow service, and got my order complete wrong. For dinner we went to a Greek Restaurant, Olympia Cafe on River Street which was wonderful. Great service and the food was outstanding.

The city, food, parks and shopping is beautiful.
The city, food, parks and shopping is beautiful. The city is so clean and the landscaping in all the parks is just so lush and beautiful. So much history! Parking is not necessarily hard to come by but you do need to pay to park everywhere - not expensive but still something to consider when heading out. Very walkable for the right age group or for those without hinderances. Some of the restaurants we ate at were a.Lure, B. Matthews, Corleone's, Sundae Cafe on Tybee Island - all excellent and would definitely go back. The City Market is an excellent area - great shopping and restaurants. I wouldn't necessarily say that this is somewhere that I would bring children as there doesn't seem to be a lot for them to do but for young couples without children on up to seniors that are mobile, this will make for a wonderful trip. We were there for 4 full days and we were able to see everything on our lists.

The City has so much History.
The City has so much History. The Trolleys , has the On & Off stops for travelers , getting around the city convenient, and great for shopping . Walking to shops , restaurants to sit in the parks, in the River Front area..
A Beautiful City .
- great location, at the edge of Downtown by Washington Sq
- valet parking
- friendly staff
- beautiful lobby „living room“ style
- gorgeous outdoor seated area towards the inner part of the hotel
- pool, note however that it is very small and way too warm. Throughout the day it was too crowded, I recommend going there only in the evening
- good food at the breakfast restaurant (a la carte)
- complementary wine and spiked lemonade 4-5PM
- complementary coffee and tea in the morning
Valet service was excellent upon arrival and departure. Valet was very welcoming and knowledgeable about the area. I loved the location.. Walk outside directly on the riverwalk. Very convenient location to all the shops and dining. We didn’t need to drive and saved on gas. The trolley tour and carriages picked up and dropped off closely outside of the hotel. Really enjoyed the plant district and the historic/ downtown district.
A fantastic apartment - extremely comfy, very well equipped, beautifully appointed. Great location in the historic, downtown district of Savannah. Everything, including wide choice of restaurants, within easy walking distance. Very helpful hosts who were easy to contact 24/7. Check-in instructions were very clear and they provided for early luggage drop. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend.
Excellent option for getting on/off i-95 quickly. Seems to be a new hotel so all facilities were really nice. The room was spacious and the beds comfortable. Breakfast was simple but good. Breakfast area by the reception with a lot of seating options and good coffee was available all day. It is about 20-25 min from Downtown Savannah so it is convenient only if you are driving.
The breakfast was top. Everything was clean and pleasant, just perfect. However, the price is also correspondingly high. We were lucky and got a special offer, but otherwise it is not so cheap. But the hotel is worth it.
Very close to Savannah's historic district, which is wonderful to explore on foot from the hotel.
Friendly staff, free parking and close to public transport. The bus from downtown back to the hotel however was very unreliable but free during St. Patrick’s weekend. The last bus left around 8pm so if you wanted to stay longer in downtown I’d take a ride share or something.
Overall the hotel was awesome, it was perfect for my friend and me and it was only an 8-minute drive from downtown Savannah so that was amazing. All of the staff was amazing and nice. It's also right next to a Food Lion so we were able to get anything that was needed there.
Perfect location. Very close to all the lovely squares and tree lined roads of the historic district. Excellent restaurants nearby. Lovely hotel, full of character. Breakfast was excellent. Very friendly staff. And we managed to park on the street very close to the hotel.
We usually stay here when we visit Savannah Historic District, and we have not been dissatisfied yet. The breakfast was the best we’ve had so far on our vacation, at any hotel, the staff polite and courteous. We will definitely stay here again. Thank you
I got the deposit back. The staff is really friendly. Not too far away from downtown & riverfront. 10 min drive is ok.
Bed is big & comfortable. All you need for a short trip. You don´t even stay in the room for too long - so it´s fine
The room was cleaned daily and towels/linen changed daily. Location is great with gas stations and lots of food places nearby. I visted for work which was at the Savannah Convention Center which was just 10 min drive from the hotel.
It was a lovely hotel for a great price. It was walking distance to downtown and all of the beautiful squares in Historic Savannah. It was perfect. I will definitely be back.
This hotel is in the heart of historic Savannah ... far from the River Street crowds. The restaurants were very good, with live music Saturday evening and Sunday brunch.
Beautiful hotel in the heart of downtown historic Savannah. Very walkable to everything you would want to see and do. Forsyth Park is about a 15 min. walk away.
Very good location downtown, close to everything. Very nice and big room in an old and classic hotel. Lot of charm. people’s were very helpful when needed.
