The staff were fantastic and the location for our trip was amazing, the room was very quaint with beams and uneven floors fitting of a building from 1642, There were a few cosmetic issues but this did not detract from the experience, I would highly recommend this facility, the pub and food were extremely good as well.

Holiday Inn Express Hemel Hempstead, an IHG Hotel, hotel in Kings Langley

This good-value, modern hotel in Hemel Hempstead has air-conditioned bedrooms, a licensed bar and an on-site restaurant. Free WiFi is available throughout the property and onsite parking is provided.

This was my second visit and I stated earlier that I would review after this latest stay. The hotel is in a lovely situation near a river and you can enjoy a walk in the evening sun along it. The staff are lovely, friendly and helpful. The room was clean and well maintained during my visit. The breakfast has a good choice of food to cover every taste. Two exciting happening's during the visits, no eggs for two days breakfasts and a fire false alarm which had us all out of our beds in the early hours for a while.. It is my last visit to England but I would happily return to the hotel again.

Sopwell House Hotel, hotel in Kings Langley

This property is a Georgian Country House Hotel. Guests can enjoy a delicious afternoon tea, stroll through 12 acres of gardens, and relax by the main leisure pool.

Fantastic time however this may have been contributed by family wedding rather than the hotel itself, ultimately expected alot to reflect the price but again couldn't really take advantage of the facilities due to the family wedding. Probably would have been an excellent hotel if going purely for relaxation.

The room was comfortable and the bed was great.

The room was comfortable and the bed was great. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The bar area was great but small and crowded (we picked a busy time) The big disappointment was the food - Sunday evening meal was bad, very dried out mash, rock hard roast potatoes and a completely inedible Yorkshire pudding (obviously the last meal of the Sunday lunches). The chicken pie was good. The breakfast was awful.

    Nothing to like.

Nothing to like. Toilets dirty, room not that clean, food menu for evening meal poor and we were very ill after eating it. Charged £26.50 for breakfast when only had toast due to being ill all night. Fire doors slamming shut all night , dirty linen left on top of stairs all night

Really disappointing, we had a room with a view over a scrap area, that was messy as well as being ugly. The food was awful for dinner, the bar staff were sad, we weren't notified about the pool being closed.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this hotel and it was a truly wonderful experience. The hotel offered a very good breakfast and lunch, with a wide variety of dishes that were both delicious and satisfying. The facilities were well-maintained and added to the comfort of our stay. The location of the hotel was a major highlight, being in close proximity to the Harry Potter Warner Bros Studios. This made our visit to the studios extremely convenient and added to the overall enjoyment of our trip.

The room was very spacious and clean. we had two breakfasts and both were very good. they were served quickly and were hot and well cooked. we had one evening meal and again the staff were efficient and the food was excellent. I would like to say a big thank you to the two girls who cleaned our room, the lady who served the breakfast, the manageress, and all the bar and waiting staff. They all made us very welcome. The two Brewers have a excellent team working there. We would definitely stay again.

Fantastic location for Harry potter at warner brothers and kings langley train station. Really old quirky building so don't expect modern plush. Staff were lovely . Bed comfortable and all clean linen. Walls to adjoining room a bit thin so noise carried. Shower was a bit of a struggle , but all in all for the price and location it was fantastic. Wish we'd had breakfast option , not available weekdays. However having a bar was great for the evening!!

The hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful, especially at breakfast. The food was really yummy and good portion sizes. Even my fussy vegetarian daughter was happy. The gin cocktails also made sure she slept well 😆😉 The shower was powerful and plenty of hot water which was needed after a long journey. The restaurant was very clean and well decorated. We loved all the mirrors! The location was just what we wanted and plenty of parking.

The location was great for visiting Harry Potter Studios - 20 mins walk. The hotel itself was a historical building with beautiful pub/restaurant downstairs offering traditional British meals which were very tasty. The staff were very nice and friendly. The breakfast was really good. There was a selection of traditional breakfast dishes on the menu and there also were toasts, jams and cereals to have. The room price is quite affordable.

The location was perfect for our visit to Harry Potter Studio Tours, literally a 5 minute drive away. The room was gorgeous, very clean and bed was comfy. The room I had originally booked was not available, which resulted in the hotel upgrading us to a much larger room… perfect! All the staff were very pleasant and helpful. The breakfast was delightful and very tasty, would definitely recommend and stay again.

We loved the comfy beds, and the hotel were able to arrange joining rooms with a connecting door which was perfect for our young kids. The breakfast was fantastic and we loved been able to go for a swim with the children before breakfast. We had the pool to ourselves. The location is perfect for Harry Potter studios. Would recommend.

It’s an ideal place to stay at if you are visiting the Warner Bros. studios. It looks just like the pubs from the movie. If you are looking for a 5 star hotel, keep looking, but if you like a unique stays surrounded by locals- you found your place.
