Clean, practical, comfortable, and bang in the middle
of all the DDay sites. You can go a lot farther and
do a lot worse. (I wish I could stay here next week
but they're booked. The only other place I could
find, an apartment, much more and they're charging
me good money to rent sheets and towels--Welcome Our Liberators !

The property is gorgeous. The staff are wonderful and breakfast was excellent. The position of this hotel is perfect and it included (paid) parking. As we stayed for 5 nights with a car this was really a bonus, particularly when keeping the position of the hotel in mind.

I am trying to update my review of La Cour Royale but the site is not letting me. I answered no breakfast - this was an answer to a Booking.com question and not a put down on the accommodation - it was a flat and I did not expect breakfast. I also put a rating of 5 out of ten for staff because this was a flat and I didn’t expect staff! I hope this clears this up. It was an excellent place to stay and would like to again.

The city is beautiful and easy to get around in by foot. We enjoyed seeing the Cathedral and The Tapestry as well as a couple restaurants and an awesome pastry shop.
Taxi service is limited (allow plenty of time to await a taxi). Uber service did not exist.

Bayeux is a lovely town and very central to all of the D Day beaches and many other interesting places related to WW2.
The town is not too big so a lot can be seen in a reasonable space of time.
The British memorial cemetery there is one of the most poignant I visited.

We came to Bayeux to see the Tapestry.
We came to Bayeux to see the Tapestry. I was looking forward to it and it was even better than I had expected. Bayeux is a lovely town with interesting things to do and see, such as the Cathedral and the Art Museum. The people are very friendly and the food is great.
The apartment was comfortable and large compared to other locations in France. The city of Bayeux was so quaint and we had excellent views looking down from the windows that opened. There were plenty of restaurants and pattiseries within walking distance too.
My only caution to others is the staircase leading up to the apartment. It's a winding staircase that may not be easily maneuvered for some. We're energetic and carrying our luggage up the stairs was a workout.
This is a great hotel to serve as a base to explore Normandy and the D Day beaches. Located in town, it was an easy walk to explore Bayeau and to many restaurants. Free parking is a short walk to the hotel. Would definitely stay here again. Only negative is that there is no lift and the upper rooms are accessed by steep, windy stairs which could be difficult for those with mobility issues.
The hotel was charming and beautiful. We had a mishap (on our end) with the reservation as I thought this hotel had AC. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate us to move us to a room we would be more comfortable. The location was an easy walking distance to the city center. The pool was an added bonus that we did not find in any other hotel we stayed in France.
The location was beautiful and a few minutes from the central village, convenient to where you take tours in Normandy. The Chateaux was on a beautiful and peaceful piece of property and all of the travel amenities you would need were available. The staff were exceptionally helpful and the food was superb. It was a wonderful place to stay in this beautiful part of France.
Laurent is a perfect host and made us feel right at home and very welcome. Breakfast is delicious and a lovely table was prepared for us. The room was perfect for us and close to downtown, the tapestry, Notre Dame, and our Normandy tour was just a short walk away. Close to everything in Bayeux. It could not have been better!
The Novotel is built to be a motel style hotel on the Bayeux ring road. The car park is huge and it is very convenient for people travelling by car or coach. The hotel has everything you would expect from a motel in a compact package - a gym, bar, restaurant, good wifi, pool. Staff are all helpful and friendly.
This a spacious and apartment in a quaint neighborhood, perfect for families! It’s a short walk into the lovely town of Bayeux, a close drive to grocery stores, the motorway, and a central location for exploring Normandy. Nicholas was an excellent host, easy to communicate with and very helpful.
The host was very helpful in getting us a tour of the Normandy beaches the first day we arrived. Every day, we had a delicious and filling breakfast. The B&B is within convenient walking distance to the nearby Bayeux tapestry museum and to other sites, shopping and restaurants
Excellent staff friendly, welcoming and very helpful the location is excellent to visit the war cemetery in Bayeux and the museum and then to make your way to Caen, and the beaches Normandy is a beautiful area, clean and highly recommend
Best hotel for touring the D-day beaches in Normandy. Right in the middle of it all. Well priced, no frills hotel with good views of the cathedral and countryside, also does a good breakfast. Easy parking a short walk into bayeux.
Great Value! Good location both within Bayeux and for exploring the surrounding Normandy area. Parking usually available for free right across the street. Plenty of space for all 6 of us. Adequately equipped kitchen.
Beautiful hotel in the heart of Bayeux. Excellent location for the station and town centre. The staff are very friendly and always on hand to help. Excellent breakfast using local produce. Highly recommended.
I chose the location to fit our itinerary of touring the Normandy beaches, Bayeux and for meeting friends. The staff were so helpful and friendly, it was such a happy place to stay.
Hotel is small but rooms were more spacious than they looked. Everything was clean, very well located to get quickly out of Bayeux in the mornings to explore Normandy.
