This hotel was perfect for my family of 4. The residences are incredibly well appointed and spacious with a full kitchen, dining area and outdoor terrace. We selected the Tropical Garden Grand Residence which has its own private cold plunge, sauna and outdoor shower. The rooftop terrace and pool is a dream and the kids especially loved the breakfasts and activities. All steps from perfect beach and surf. Already booked my return over the Holidays. Thanks Silvestre for an amazing trip :)

The town is very charming with lots of both local, mid range and upscale restaurants. The problem is with the roads. We drove 2 1/2 hours from Playa flamingo down the coast and fully half of that time was on rutted dirt roads. The town itself had ro ases that were worse than rutted with giant potholes sometimes two or 3 feet deep. It made us wish we had a four-wheel-drive which many of the locals drive. They called them quads, which are four wheeled ATVs. We were there in dry season so I can only imagine what happens to the roads in the rainy season. It would not be a pretty sight.

Costa Rica is a very special country, but what I like best of all in Nosara (Guiones/Pelada) are the people. Both Ticos (Costa Ricans) and expats are among the friendliest, most genuinely helpful and generous, and most laid back folks anywhere. And it is the gorgeous natural beauty and tranquility of this place that must be the cause.

Nosara is a small town and the area is not very developed. Driving was somewhat terrifying (more so than the zip lining, to be sure). The nature there is beautiful and preserved. I would recommend staying at a nice resort if you want to go there. There are several and this would have made our experience much better. Since we had a kitchen, we used the grocery store often. It had great products, but was not air conditioned.

Nosara is definitely a place to go if you like surfing.
Nosara is definitely a place to go if you like surfing. There are a variety of waves for all types of surfers and the beach is HUGE so there is a ton of room for all surfers. The water is warm and you can body surf, boogie board as well...you really want to be "into the ocean" to be in Nosara...we took beach cruisers from one to the other on the beach since the sand is compacted...that was a lot of fun...and a beautiful ride. People are GREAT in Nosara....we will return.

Nosara is a gorgeous little village by the beach, but it is fast changing. It is very now americanised, lots of new expensive houses are being built. Restaurants and bars are good, but more expensive than everywhere we have been in CR. Most shops, hotels bars and restaurants charge in $ (although you can pay cash in Colones).
I enjoyed Nosara, the Guiones Beach is gorgeous especially at sunset, but I did not feel like I was in CR. I think Samara would have been more what I was looking for.

More expensive than the average Costa Rican town, has been developing massively in the past few years, the road access is as poor as always though. Beaches are fantastic, restaurant options are amazing (this wasn’t the case a few years ago). The Nomadic Hotel a gem.
Very home-like hostel vibe. There's a common room to get to know your fellow guests. Really abundant breakfast. Beautiful location in spite of it not being close to the beach. It's reminiscent of old Guiones in Nosara, with cows roaming around from time to time. The pool was an excellent idea. If you like peace and calm, this is the place for you. Fede is also a really helpful and gracious host. It has all you want for a good stay in Nosara.
The accommodation was perfect. We loved the pool and the chilled atmosphere. Our hosts, Lisa and Luca, were attentive when they needed to be but also left us alone too - perfect. The food was superb, we loved the breakfasts with a local twist and had a superb and very memorable Christmas dinner under the stars. Our whole stay was impossible to fault. The photos are very accurate but don’t do the hotel justice, the reality is SO much better.
I enjoyed my stay, it's good value for money compared to some of the other hotel options. In terms of location it is fine, it's not far to walk into Guinos or to the beach, but it's so easy to get tuk-tuk's to go anywhere quickly. Good air-con in the room, good wi-fi, there's a large area for exercise etc, at night it is pretty quiet. It's close to Bodhi Tree as well and there's lots of options there. A solid 8/10 for me.
Great location in South Guiones close to the store, ATM, cafe, shops and the beach. Amazing vibe as the property is in a garden giving it a real jungle feeling. Well-equipped with a fridge, cutlery and microwave in the room, room is nice and spacious. Staff was really helpful and polite. Had warm water in the shower which is super rare in Costa Rica. Breakfast included was great if you like gallo pinto (which I do :) )
The setting is beautiful and what’s even better is the staff. Everyone that works their is so sincerely happy you are there and will do whatever it takes to make your stay the best it can be. It was like no hotel Iv visited before. The staff are now my friends and I wish them all the best and hope to see them one day again. There is also a walking trail that takes you into the down town area, or to playa palada.
Beautiful hotel, a short walk away from the beach. Rooms were great, lovely decor, comfy beds, very clean. Salt water pool and short walk to hotel surf club, where you could rent boards and arrange lessons. Food was great and staff all very friendly. Laid back atmosphere and great restaurant.
Great staff. Sebastian was so kind and helpful. Great food - a little pricey, but delicious and fresh - felt worth it. The pool is clean and perfect. The hotel itself is very quiet - we felt like we had it all to ourselves. The sort path to the beach was perfect for our surf sessions.
Room was clean and spacious
Not luxury but that’s reflected in price compared to other nosara hotels
Shower was hot and had great pressure
Breakfast was simple and nice
I’m sure in wet season you need a 4x4 but in dryer months you are fine in a normal car
This was a charming hotel with a beautiful picturesque pool. Located right in the heart of Nosara. Wonderful and attentive staff, Especially manager Isabel. Included breakfast is a must! Cooked fresh and homemade! Would definitely stay here again!
I go there for work often, as I do weddings on the beach and have to go to Nosara maybe 8-10 times a year. Many times there's no room in Green Sanctuary because everyone loves it! But that's my to-go place in Nosara.
Wonderful place with amazing view on the Ocean. The breakfast is fantastic and the owners very welcoming. A little bit located outside the city so you need a car to get to playa Guiones. Would highly recommand!
We stayed in thr apartment which was very large with full kitchen and 2 rooms with ac and it was clean. Its an amazing location walking distance to Nosara and Guiones beach plus lots of restaurants.
Beautiful style, relaxed vibes and very clean rooms. The hotel and bar staff are incredibly friendly and laid back. We rented surfboards directly from the property, great value for money
