This place is outstanding, the location is simply breathtaking. The apartment is small but very homey and equipped with plenty of amenities and complementary items such as breakfast stuff and coffee for the bialetti. We were able to cook some nice pasta dishes to enjoy on the beautiful balcony. The bed is comfortable and we slept well. San Bernardino as a location is very convenient if you are travelling by car as we were able to reach all of the cinque terre villages (start in the morning and park on the road somewhere, e.g above the Manarola car park, that way you don't have to pay for parking). Yes, the roads in cinque terre are narrow and winding but if you are somewhat used to driving mountain roads (as many Swiss people are), it's really not that bad, but best to have 4 eyes on the road. I was very scared of the driving part of this trip but it really wasn't that bad. We even had to park on the street below San Bernardino for most of the trip because there was an event on the church parking lot and that wasn't a problem either. At first I was sceptical if this apartment was gonna be worth it because it was slightly above our usual budget but it was the best decision, won't forget this place and the beautiful mornings sipping bialetti espresso while watching the sky and the sea change colours.

Situated within 500 metres of Riomaggiore Beach and 14 km of Castello San Giorgio, Casa Lorenza features rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Riomaggiore. There is a private entrance at the holiday home for the convenience of those who stay. Private parking can be arranged at an extra charge. Lorenza the owner is a very kind lady, who provided her full support from the begining. Started with organizing a parking place for us and than on the way to the apartment showed and told us all the useful things we need to know. Every morning she brought our breakfast from the bakery (croissant and focaccia) which was still warm. The view from the balcony is amazing. The apartment is close to the center, but still silent during the night. I can highly recommend it. Thank you Lorenza :)

The property is non-smoking and is set 45 km from Castello San Giorgio. We loved it so much here, we booked an extra night! It felt like our own little home. Monica was super nice. Though her English wasn't that great and my Italian wasn't that great, the communication was flawless. The view was great, the location super quiet at night and Monica gave us a park with which we could park for free in Levanto, even right next to the entrance of the train station. In the train station, you can take the train to any of the 5 Terre, so it was a great base to visit 5 Terre if you are travelling by car. The wifi was superfast!
