Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

We had an absolutely enchanting experience at Quinta Lusitania! From the moment we arrived, the warm and attentive host made us feel right at home. The picturesque location, surrounded by nature's beauty, was the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. One of the highlights was the breakfast – a delicious spread of locally sourced delights that our host would carefully prepare each morning And speaking of delights, the children's horse riding lesson was a true gem! Our son was not only taught with patience and care but also had an unforgettable time bonding with the gentle horse. The host’s and dedication to creating a welcoming atmosphere truly shines through in every detail. We couldn't have asked for a better combination of exceptional service, stunning surroundings, and heartwarming experiences. This place is an absolute must-visit for anyone seeking a truly memorable getaway!

United KingdomBeautiful property set in its own grounds. Very spacious bedroom, also a large lounge/bar area including a pool table. Outside there’s a small swimming pool and terrace area. The breakfast was delicious and beautifully presented. It was no problem at all for us, but anybody with mobility issues should note the rooms are accessed via stairs.

Adorable Calm, very cozy and comfortable. It's the place with family history, with interesting details in interior, with friendly stuff and very hospitality owners, Miguel and his wife Christina. I enjoyed a walk with my little son in the early morning in the fog, it was amazing. We would be glad to come back, but this time I'll take a couple of riding lessons ) Beijinho!

Portugaldefinitely the way we were received by the owners who made us feel immediately at home. always available to help us making the most of our stay with advices on where to go and what to eat around, while giving us all the privacy for a couple of quiet relaxing days with the children. being a small place was a plus, for us relaxing and the children enjoyed the pool and explore the nature around. Decorated in a traditional way, and with a great space outside for some relaxing moments by the pool, with the occasional visit of the two house cats.

PortugalBeing a seasoned traveler and explorer for both domestic and foreign locations, I've stayed in places within a huge quality range, from very modest to upscale. Quinta Lusitânia is second to none. This stay in Quinta Lusitânia was much more than a comfortable bed and breakfast - it's a full experience in many different ways. It was probably the most pleasant stay I've ever experienced. Miguel and Christina (the owners) are masters in the art of hospitality and went the extra mile to make our stay as perfect as possible. I'm not going to spoil the experience by detailing my stay and what makes me really want to return. Book a couple of nights, go find it for yourself - I promise you won't regret.

Quinta Lusitania is just a wonderful place. The beautiful house is surrounded by a flowering garden, grazing horses and a great pool area where you can lounge on nice sunbeds. The room was a great mix of beautiful old furniture and modern comfort with an amazing bed. The breakfast was above all expectations with a greats selection of bread, croissants, fresh fruit and homemade marmelades in the beautiful dining room. The Dinner that the owner Miguel cooks is also amazing and absolutly to recomend trying. The stable contains eight beautiful horses and are available for riding with the great guidence of Tina. Quinta Lusitania is a beautiful and peaceful place where the incredibly friendly owners makes your stay a dream well worth the money.
