Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

It’s not the hotels fault but the street was ripped up with lots of work going on right in front. There is construction all over the area which makes it hard to walk.
I really liked the dock so water taxi boats can pick you up right at the hotel. The restaurant has a nice view of the next island, moored boats, and the water traffic. There are many restaurants in walking distance.

Road construction made walking uncomfortable, and street closures caused us to detour often to get to a destination.
The location is near to all that was of interest to us. Access to transportation, taxis, water taxis and busses was very good. Food in the hotel was good and also in the nearby restaurants. The hotel staff were friendly, informative and courteous. The facility was clean and comfortable.

Not really their fault but the muddy rocky streets were a problem because we like to walk around.
We were there at a bad time, the streets were torn up with a large scale paving project. In addition there was a backhoe right in front of the building. The staff was efficient and friendly. The bed was comfortable and shower was fine.

The hotel is on the waterfront, right in the middle of the action. It can get loud but it's not as terrible as we had imagined. Everything was amazing, starting from the sparkling clean rooms, with lovely, bright Bocas- style colours to the wonderful waterfront restaurant/ breakfast room and bakery/ confectionary on the street where we enjoyed yummy waffles, cereal yoghurt etc. The hotel is positioned right on the pier where all the tours headed for the islands leave from and also where you can rent an individual lancha. All in all a perfect location for a perfect Archipelago of islands!

The noise from Night Club is very unfortunate! You can feel the bass in your chest. This is not fair to the hotel!
The location and views were great! The staff was very accommodating and friendly. The restaurant had something for everyone despite the limited menu. The ice cream place in the front was delicious and convenient! The hotel assists with their island tours, which are a must!

Can be a little noisy if the town is busy, although it does have noise cancellation windows.
Beautifully designed in a convenient location, near the busiest street of Bocas, just a few steps from the supermarket, the Famous 'El Barco Hundido', and near the boat taxis, friendly staff, and good coffee.

Many people complained of the noise, yet fail to realise this hotel is located in the "party strip". We had luck or just didn't mind it - but we had lovely stay. Central, very helpful personnel, everything we needed was there! Plus, lovely happy hour for nice cocktails

The noise of a nearby bar one of the nights. My mattress in the family room was not that comfortable. The water pressure was very little.
Loved the dock to sit and watch boats. The general vibe of the hotel felt clean and modern. I also liked the onsite bar/restaurant.

Our friend’s room was on the side of the building beside a discotheque and REALLY noisy for him to sleep.
It was on the Main street, so lots of activity! The restaurant had good food and was overlooking the water. Our room was quiet because of where it was located. Facilities were clean and well kept. The staff was very friendly and helpful with all my questions too! They are more than willing to help you book tours and don’t gouge you for pricing either!

The side where my room was is close to Barco Hundido and I could hear the music on the background. The hotel provided ear plugs to help with this. My room had “sea view” but I could see more the antena next to the hotel than the sea itself. This is not that important nor an issue but I wouldn’t sell it a sea view room

Yes is true you can hear some notice from the bars, but all good!
The food from tehir restaurant is Amazing! The decoration is amazing, everything is clean, good bathroom! Exactly like the photos!

I was there during Carnival and it was very noisy. Even with the earplugs the hotel provided it was hard sleeping.
It was close to everything and right in town. Staff were friendly. The hotel was very clean.

Noises from a night club close to the hotel. To compensate, the hotel provided earplugs, which was a great gesture because they were in the room before we get in.

The only bad thing is that the hotel is next to some bars/clubs and it gets really really loud.

Husseled by Toni the water taxi/tour operator who eventually stole $40 dollars from me. Watch for him and AVOID. His place is at the far end of the street

Ear plugs were included with the room. It was pretty loud from the club across the water.
