This was a night's stopover before the ferry the following morning. We arrived on the Sunday and had no problems at all parking (The allocated parking is opposite the Inn on the other side of the road). It's situated in a quiet village, about 15 minutes drive to the ferry. As it was a Sunday evening, the pub restaurant was closed, however we were given takeaway menus, provided with plates and cutlery and ate our takeaway downstairs in the restaurant area. Phil was very attentive and helpful. The beds were comfortable and room facilities were excellent for the night's stay. All at a very reasonable price. Thank you! Overall a very good stay that we would recommend and we would definitely choose this option again if needed.

Slightly out of the way but still only 15 mins drive to Deal

We had a very warm welcome in this lovely country pub. Room tastefully decorated and very comfortable. The breakfast was delicious - nice to be able to choose small or large. Will definitely return

Nothing it was great but would have benefited from a fan in the room. This is extremely minor though, as everything was brilliant.

Wish we had stayed longer than one night. Staff excellent even sorted us out a delivery Indian meal. Rooms great and the welcome we received was also fabulous. 20 mins from Dover so handy for the ferry to Calais. Community pub so we were lucky as it was quiz night.

Our room was really spacious, clean and felt freshly decorated. Bed was extremely comfortable and the breakfasts were generous and delicious. The steak and curry were generous and really tasty and the desserts amazing. Sunday lunch was hearty and generous again. The location was quiet and peaceful. So pleased we stayed here. Felt very homely and welcoming but also private and restful.

Very nice pub in lovely countryside just outside Deal run by friendly hosts. In a quiet location, it has a large outside terrace/garden area and more than ample parking. The quite modern room was very comfortable and had good tea/coffee making facilities, and the bathroom, although not large, functioned well. Breakfast was excellent, although it was a shame we could not try dinner as no food is served in the evening on Mondays and Tuesdays. Overall a lovely place to stay.

It was a shame that food is not served on a Monday and Tuesday evening as we had planned to eat at our location on our first night of arrival (Monday). This was not a huge problem but a courtesy email to let us know that there was no chef on a Monday or Tuesday would have been appreciated, so that we could have made alternative plans sooner as were also meeting a friend.

The room was lovely and spacious and decorated beautifully. We had everything that we needed including kettle, hairdryer, ironing board and an amazing alarm clock that was also a phone charger. Staff were friendly, polite and helpful and made you feel very welcome. Stunning views from our bedroom window and very quiet. Very much enjoyed the curry night meal on Wednesday evening, the food was excellent!

The bed was a bit soft for us, but we still slept well

The staff were first class, so helpful. The location was perfect for us as we were heading on a cruise from Dover the following day. The ability to order in a takeaway and easy in the pub was great (they are shut for food on a Sunday evening, but the Indian takeaway they recommended was excellent.

A bit tricky to get too, down a few narrow country lanes that were only wide enough for one car. However, once we were used to the journey it didn’t seem so bad. Evening meals aren’t available on a Monday or Tuesday which we didn’t realise,as the booklet in the room stated available every night. As we arrived on a Tuesday evening we were looking forward to eating in the pub but instead had to go searching for an alternative in Deal. Definitely need to amend the information in the booklet.
