How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The bed did not have sheets (only one blanket). In addition, it was noisy due to the fact that a new building was being built rght behind the hotel. The noise started around 6 am from monday to friday
Awesome breakfast and location, near Wittenbergplatz station. The staff is quite helpful and the place is very clean

The bathroom ventilation was a bit slow, took some time to get the steam out after shower. Direct neighbourhood (05/2024) a bit sad, two office buildings under demolition (but no impact to noise level at the hotel).
Very friendly welcome, clean, quiet rooms (noise protection works very well despite being located at a busy street); good connection to the city (U-Bahn 5 min walking, several buses). Could get a coffee in the morning without having to book breakfast. Several restaurants in the vicinity (Wittenbergplatz), KaDeWe just around the corner.

One day the forgot to clean out room although we left it available for room cleaning early enough. At one side of the hotel there is a run down and closed restaurant, it's entrance is used by homeless people as recovery, we were a couple and passed there in front constantly to go to the shops and to the S and U-Bahn stopps, as a woman alone I would have been afraid to do so. At the back side of the hotel there is a large construction yard, we stayed over the weekend so it was no problem, but on our last morning we were woken up at 7 by the loud works. As long as the constructions are there get a room in the front side if you want to sleep in
Location: close to the shopping district and well connected to public means of transport. Uncomplicated as always.

One morning, during breakfast, someone of the staff thought it would be a good idea to whip out the vacuum and to go clean the breakfast area. Personally I would have made another choice...
The hotel was good, clean and exactly what I expected. The hotel is near Kurfürstendamm and near an another underground station so if you want to explore the city you can get out of there in no time.

There was no safe box and no kettle in the room, and no water bottles
The location was great, the amenities on the other hand were lacking. which was a bit saddening.

Bar food menu is very poor. No tea/coffee facilities in room.
Close to Ubahn, nice area with loads of restaurants nearby, clean, friendly with a nice bar.

can't really fault the place, if there was one thing missing it would be a kettle in the room but that's really a very small point.
Good location with practical transport links, helpful and amenable staff, and a room with a real functional window for airing. For less than €100 per night in a capital city you can't really go wrong.

We had to keep the window open because it was very hot and stuffy inside and the fan was not working. It would be ideal if a fridge could be provided to keep your water cool and any other food items you may have picked up while touring around Berlin!
Very central location to nice sights in Berlin. And close to a station to get around very easily. Lovely modern hotel, and very clean. The bed was large and comfortable. Water was provided.
