I had a wonderful stay at Amakhala Safari Lodge. The staff go above and beyond, the food is good and plentiful, and the suite is heaven. I recommend arriving by 2 PM on your check-in day so you can attend the afternoon drive. The drives are fantastic; the guides are very knowledgable and the reserve is huge. Come with a good attitude; you may or may not see depending on the weather or the fact that animals are unpredictable - but the guides will try their hardest! My guide Des made several efforts to find rhinos - even staying later than normal until we found them!

Set against a cliff above the Bushman's River valley, Woodbury Lodge is located in the malaria-free area of the Amakhala Game Reserve. Didn't know what to expect from this Game Reserve, but was over the moon to find a real gem of a place. Wonderful, friendly staff, delicious food, best rangers, going out of their way to find you every animal that you request. Special shout out to Lenny best guide ever! Accommodation was clean and comfortable. Planning on bringing our whole family here in the near future. Would I recommend this place to family and friends 100% yes!

Oferecendo uma experiência íntima Big 5 safari, o Quatermain's 1920's Safari Camp dispõe de uma fogueira boma e churrasqueira. A propriedade está localizada no Hotel de Safári Amakhala. I loved the feeling of being in the REAL Africa… like I really was in a 1920’s safari camp! I loved the staff.. so knowledgeable, friendly and kind. ..I felt like I was staying with friends. The safaris were EXCELLENT! Not only did I see lions, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, hippos and rhinos, I learned a great deal about the animals and the environment.

The camp is set out amazing. Drive to camp is bumpy but once there you should stay minimum 2 days. Lots of space, very comfortable and recently renovated. Pictures advertised on Booking.Com doesn’t do it justice, the place is better. To the marketers: add more pictures of the shared lounges, swimming pool, braai areas and porches. A aerial picture of the setup could explain a lot. Use a drone for this. Ideal for couples with no children to rest and rejuvenate. Everything is there, however self catering. We brought a CADAC Skottelbraai which we recommend the establishment to invest and keep handy for guests use in the mornings for breakfast. The beds and rooms were of a high standard and were warm. We will book again, love it!

Com vista do jardim, o Bushys Oak oferece acomodações com jardim e varanda térrea, a cerca de 8,6 km do Memorial Dias Cross. The house is large and comfortable. Perfect for families. It even had an ice machine! There was no load shedding at all, which was a pleasant change. The area felt safe and the beach nearby is fantastic!
