Set in Alba Iulia, 31 km from Câlnic Citadel, Hotel Aura Unirii offers accommodation with a terrace, free private parking, a restaurant and a bar. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The check-in and check-out experiences were quick and easy. As there was no elevator, the receptionist offered to carry our luggage. We really enjoyed the tasty breakfast as well. There was a good variety of croissants and pastries, cereal, and multiple options of cooked eggs (fried or various omelets). The eggs were made on the spot, which was really nice. The location is excellent, being literally across the street from the first 3 gates of the citadel. Both the citadel and the two shopping malls are well within walking distance. The rooms were spacious and had all the amenities we needed, including bathrobes and towels for the spa. The beds were really comfortable, on the more rigid side, which was definitely a plus.

Carolina Heritage is situated in Alba Iulia, 33 km from Câlnic Citadel and 400 metres from Alba Iulia Citadel - The Third Gate. We had a lovely one night stay here, the location is wonderful right in the centre of the citadel and was very easy to get to and park. The lady at reception was absolutely lovely, very friendly and helpful. Our room was great, very big with a comfortable bed with bathrobes and slippers provided. There was also a well stocked reasonably priced mini bar. We had a lovely bath in the room too. The hotel was very clean everywhere and breakfast was very good. We especially appreciated the same lady from reception explaining the Romanian dishes. Would definitely stay here again

Situated in Martinie, 20 km from Câlnic Citadel, Nedei Hotel&Spa Transalpina features accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant. It was very nicely located near the river, without any other houses around that could spoil the view. Inside the room, spa area, terasse or parking, everything was cleaned daily. The place is designed in a smart way with big windows near the restaurant that gives visibility to the playground outside. Although the room was medium size, I appreciated the design and functionality of the space.

Featuring an on-site spa, Hotel Cardinal is set in Vintu De Jos, 9 km from Sebeş and 14 km from Alba Carolina Citadel. Free WiFi is featured throughout the property. It has a huuuge garden to walk in, is very close to the Mures river, as well as the old fortified church and really a pleasure to wander.
