Well I think I may have found the perfect hotel!! The room, food, decor, location, atmosphere, all spot on! but what really made this place great was the staff, all so kind and so helpful, nothing was too much trouble and everything done with a smile. We are a charity and couldn't have achieved our mission on Santa Maria without the help of the amazing Sophia, an absolute credit to Charming Blue, thank you so much from all the team and crew at The Maiden Factor. I can't wait to come back!!

Hið 4-stjörnu Hotel Santa Maria er staðsett í aðeins 1 km fjarlægð frá Santa Maria-flugvellinum og býður upp á stóran garð og útisundlaug. Herbergin eru loftkæld og ókeypis. The breakfast was good - the staff was phenomenal. Aida at the counter was amazing throughout our stay. Helped us with tours , locations , cabs ….. A++++ reception. She definitely loved her job.

Þetta 4-stjörnu hótel er staðsett nálægt Vila do Porto, í 10 mínútna akstursfjarlægð frá flugvellinum, fjallinu og ströndinni í Praia Formosa. Traveling with My 1 year old and arriving early, check in wasn’t for a decent amount of time but they were able to thankfully get Me a room ready within a hour and a half. Comes with breakfast. Has a bar and food available for lunch or dinner. There is a kids room which I enjoyed. Not far of a walk from the center and was nice to see the animals. Beautiful view from room!

QUINTA DO FAlkO er staðsett í Almagreira og býður upp á fjallaútsýni, ókeypis WiFi og ókeypis einkabílastæði. Gistirýmið er með garðútsýni og verönd. Sveitagistingin er með sérinngang. So happy we stayed here! One of the top hotels we've ever been to. Space was generous, comfortable, and well-appointed. Service was excellent. Beds were comfortable and everything was clean. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Cosy Private Cottage w/sea views & wifi er nýlega enduruppgert sumarhús í Vila do Porto. Það er með garð. Gististaðurinn er með garð og útsýni yfir hljóðláta götu. The place is amazing. Aideen is great. If you're looking for a place that's kind of isolated on your own hill top in the middle of nowhere, yet just up the hill from a small town with a great restaurant, look no further. Awesome sunrise when you wake up in the morning. Beautiful stars at night.

Casita - Cantinho do Paraíso er staðsett í Vila do Porto á Santa Maria-svæðinu og býður upp á gistirými með aðgangi að heitum potti. It was outstandingly gorgeous and the surroundings were breathtaking.

Casa dos Valentes er staðsett í Santo Espírito. Þetta sumarhús býður upp á ókeypis einkabílastæði, sólarhringsmóttöku og ókeypis WiFi. It was so peaceful and the house had everything we needed. We loved hearing the rural sounds, and the place was so easy to find. We were greeted as we drove up the driveway and check in was seamless. When we opened the door, we were greeted with a loaf of homemade bread, cookies, and jam from the Cooperative Bakery up the street along with milk and a large bottle of water. We cooked breakfast every morning, and when we weren’t out exploring, we enjoyed sitting on the front patio and watching the nearby cows and sheep grazing. And, given the size of the island (and the time of year we visited), we didn’t have any problem driving to Vila do Porto for more restaurant options (it was only 20 minutes away). However, we did enjoy our late morning coffee in one of the bars in the village of Santo Espirito.
