The food is typical Nicaraguan fare cooked beautifully with generous portions. We were always met with smiles. As we are practiced our Spanish, the Los Cocos team were patient and worked with us to ensure that expectations were well communicated. They spent time with us and got to know our children. The space is incredibly safe and the location is excellent, being directly across from playa Santa Cruz and the Saturday market. If you need a taxi, Marlon is more than willing to drive you wherever you need to go in a comfortable pick up truck. He can help you arrange horse tours, vehicle rental, kayak tour, hiking tour and whatever else you can imagine on the island. We have returned to Los Cocos twice, and we couldn't imagine staying at any other hotel on Isla de Ometepe!

We absolutely LOVED this place - we have been travelling for 5.5 months and this is the first time we felt at home. Javier and his family are amazing, they really looked after us and helped us organise absolutely everything we needed on the island. Javier's Mum also cooks dinner which is so cheap, and the BEST breakfast pancakes ever. Her cooking was so good that we had dinner there every night ha ha. Honestly we are so happy we stayed here, it was such a beautiful experience. They also have a pool table and a beautiful beach bar with amazing views of sunset every night.

The staff is very nice and helpful, breakfast was good and the room was clean and spacious. I loved their big hammock outside :)
