We were looking for a nice place to relax for a few days after many months of travelling and we’re so happy we chose Out of Africa Lodge. We didn’t leave the place for 3 days. It was just perfect. Spacious without being too big or impersonal, lovely staff, well maintained pool area, good food and a really big room with a garden outside. It was all we needed and more! Really really great experience!

The rooms were really clean and the service was good. The fireplace in the Dining room is a very good idea and made the room comfortable.

Boasting a seasonal outdoor swimming pool and a bar, Kamaku Guesthouse is situated in Otjiwarongo. At the bed and breakfast, all rooms include a desk. The place is doubtable at first when you get there, but in the long run you will get all you need there - a small pool, very clean - morning breakfast is well served. (self service) - parking is available, their yard is very secure. (camera surveillance) - customer service is of great standard. - i got there very late and they still waited up for me and treated me very well.

With mountain views, Okonjima Plains Camp is located in Otjiwarongo and has a restaurant, a shared lounge, bar, garden, year-round outdoor pool and terrace. Outstanding staff in all departments. Meals were unbelievably delicious whether it was the choice of game meat, chicken or vegetarian. Breakfast was excellent as well. Accommodation was very spacious and beautifully decorated. The staff catered to your every need and made you feel at home. We went in a successful leopard safari and were lucky enough to spot 3 leopards separately and spent quite some time viewing one up close.

Offering an outdoor pool, barbecue and sun terrace, Aloegrove Safari Lodge is located 40 km away from Otjiwarongo. Some units have a terrace and/or balcony with mountain or pool views. We chose Aloegrove to relax for a couple of nights after our 1,800 mile tour of Namibia. The communication with the hosts Johan and Ivy was fabulous during the booking process. The lodge is a good 20 mins along a track, well signposted, and by this point we were used to Namibian roads, so the uneven bits were no surprise. We were greeted by staff and showed our fabulous accommodation, spacious and the attention to detail was brilliant, bubble bath for the bath with a spectacular view, beautiful quality bed linen, ground coffee etc etc etc... Everything is there that you could need! We self catered for the first night with the indoor braai, we ate at the lodge the second night, the chef made a beautiful meal and fantastic breakfast with scrambled ostrich egg. Afternoon coffee and cake is also a real treat. we joined Johan and Ivy's tour of their farm and feeding their rescued big cats. So informative about the all the animals. I highly recommend the tour, it was great fun and we learnt lots. Johan, Ivy and their lovely staff cannot do enough for the guests. On our last morning we sat down with a map with them and planned our net trip to Namibia, they shared their knowledge of the best routes and places to travel to, of course we will start and finish with a stay at Aloegrove! We stayed is some lovely places on our journey but nothing matched the luxurious experience at Aloegrove.

Frans Indongo Lodge is located between Otjiwarongo and Otavi. The lodge offers a lush garden and and an outdoor pool. Very spacious and comfortable room. The staff were very helpful and friendly. This lodge is perfect for travelers looking to spend the night between Etosha and Windhoek.

Hadassa is situated within peaceful surroundings in Otjiwaronga. Guests can escape the heat with a refreshing swim in the pool. Cheetah Conservation Fund is 45 minute drive away. A beautifully arranged guesthouse, especially the garden is wonderful. A perfect place for a relaxing stopover or a longer stay. The breakfast was also one of the best we had in Namibia. Dinner at Out of Africa just across the street was also delicious!
