The staff were helpful, friendly, and responsive both in person and online.

One of the best dormitory we had in the past 6 months backpacking through Asia. The beds were big and comfortable, so we slept like babies! The place was in the countryside and we passed through rice fields to get there which was a very local vibe that we liked. The owner was great company and we chatted together for some time. We wish we could have stayed longer and want to come back soon again!

It is a wonderful guesthouse managed by a couple who owns the house and who take care of their guests. They know very well the island and can make great recommendations. The kitchen is great to use with everything that you need, including roasted ground coffee by the owner. You easily feel at home. And moreover the view on the sea is amazing and you have access to a beach.

The host (heart and soul of this traditional house in central location) is a bubbly and passionate traveller himself that has seen so many places in Japan and around the world. He is really interested in your own experiences while you travel in the region and he can give you a lot of recommendations. Even though this guest house is in the north of Shikoku, he provided me with travel and commuting advices for Hokkaido. And: I loved the traditional house in central but quiet location. My roomy female dormitory (for 2 people) was lovely decorated. It felt a bit like in a treasure museum. The bath facilities are modern and the kitchen is well equipped (free coffee). So, if you wanna stay in a friendly place where you can recharge travel energy and get freshly inspired, pick this guest house.

TRAVEL&BOOK HOTEL HULATONCABIN TAKAMATSU ligger i Takamatsu, 14 minuters promenad från Kitahamaebisu Shrine och 2,2 km från Takamatsu Heike Monogatari Historical Museum. nice and clean, good value for money (2000/night), staff was nice. they have a hot pot, it'd be nice to have some cups for tea. there's a microwave but no stove so it works well for those who are just staying for a night and eating always out.
