The atmosphere they create there is very much exceptional, it always seemed like when someone new came they were instantly just added to the group and I think this is because of the owners/staff there. Always helping us where to go or how to get there. Even after we left the hostel Sarah still gave us some suggestions for Johor which she didn’t need to do but that’s just how they are. We liked it so much we came back for a second stay. The only place to stay in KK for us.

Homy Seafront Hostel bevindt zich op 11 km van International Technology & Commercial Centre Penampang - ITCC en 1,7 km van Signal Hill Observatory, en heeft kamers in Kota Kinabalu. Super schoon, goede locatie, knusse inrichting, vriendelijk personeel en gratis koffie/thee brood en beleg. Misschien wel een van de beste hostels waar ik in heb verbleven! Goede plek om andere solo reizigers te ontmoeten.

Upspot Kuching Waterfront Premium Hostel ligt in Kuching, op 8,3 km van Borneo Convention Centre Kuching, en is voorzien van kamers met airconditioning en een gedeelde lounge. Felt like a home away from home. The room was comfy and cool, the shower area was clean and there was even a little kitchen which was perfect for making breakfast each day. We also loved the upstairs lounge area!! Thanks for a wonderful stay ☺️

Swanling Kuching ligt op 8,6 km van Borneo Convention Centre Kuching en 11 km van Sarawak Stadium, en is voorzien van kamers met airconditioning en een gedeelde badkamer in Kuching. Great location, very spacious. Hot water dispenser. Okay bathrooms. The staff warned me about the noise, as I stayed on Saturday night in the room by the street, but I slept well without earplugs and the noise wasn't that bad.

Capsule Inn ligt in Kota Kinabalu, op 4,7 km van North Borneo Railway en 6,4 km van Likas City Mosque. Rooms are very comfortable. You can sleep quietly at night. Breakfast is great with bread, jam, coffee, etc.

Escape Backpackers KK ligt in Kota Kinabalu, op 4 minuten lopen van Filipino Market Sabah, en is voorzien van kamers met airconditioning en een gedeelde lounge. It was my greatest dormitory experience ! People were amazing. each day was different from the other one. It was really the big family feeling for me ! My stay was filled of laughs, stories and alcohol !!! Auntie Fay, Judith and Valerie were so kind, amazing and patient<3. Every other guest had something different to bring and to offer in every conversation. The hostel offers some good deals for activities. You will Got a lot of stuff to do : you will be able to get lost in the jungle, battle with a jellyfish under the water, get drunk with an old uncle , chasing sunsets in Kota Kinabalu with a japanese oppa and a crazy girl, sharing some chips with an old Yakuza member (haha he wasn't in Yakuza for real... Too bad) etc.... There is also one crazy cat and one lazy cat to pet. A lot of memories in a so little tiny time. I didn't want to go back. Kota Kinabalu forever in my heart because of theses amazing people.

Foresight Hotel ligt in Tawau. Alle kamers bij het hostel hebben airconditioning, een bureau, een balkon met uitzicht op de stad, een eigen badkamer, een flatscreen-tv, beddengoed en handdoeken. Comfort beds. Also the it has two rooms which are quiet spacious. Near to restaurants, cafes and even stores. Will come again with family! Highly recommended. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Miniinn Guest House heeft gratis WiFi in de hele accommodatie en kamers met airconditioning in Bandar Seri Begawan. Locatie een beetje buiten het centrum, maar busterminal op een paar minuutjes en voor $1 naar het centrum. Kamer is schoon en netjes. Guesthouse is vanaf beneden buiten niet zichtbaar, moet de trap op, handig om te weten!

The whole setup is well thought throu. There is a Beach Club 10min away by foot where you can see sunset in a park and, I think, can use their pool.
