Hostel Bahía Ballenas er staðsett í Puerto Pirámides og býður upp á garð, sameiginlega setustofu, grillaðstöðu og ókeypis WiFi hvarvetna á gististaðnum. This was a basic hostel with very friendly and helpful staff. There was a spacious kitchen with plenty of room for several people to cook and eat at the same time. The manager was quick to help me book a tour around the Valdez Peninsula and even helped coordinate other folks who would like to go so we could split the cost. There was an outside area for gathering. No-one was using it yet as it was cold by Argentinian standards. The location is excellent with easy access to the majority of tour operators, restaurants, stores, and the beach. The bus terminal is only a few blocks away, an easy walk even with luggage. It was surprisingly quiet, even though it was full for the long weekend.
