I recently stayed at the Mother Hostel in Varanasi and I must say it was a great experience. The hostel is located in a very convenient location, close to many of the city's famous temples and ghats. The host, Gourav Khanna was very friendly and helpful, always willing to assist with any questions. The room was clean and comfortable, with all the necessary things for a comfortable stay. The bathrooms were also clean and well-maintained. One of the best things about this hostel was the "small" rooftop terrace. It was a great spot to relax and unwind after a long day of exploring. Dress washing and pressing shop is nearby. You can wash small items and dry them at the terrace. They provide water at room. Pay for it when you leave. Overall, I would highly recommend the Mother Hostel for anyone visiting Varanasi. The location, host and room are all good and provide a great value for the price. So, it can be a perfect spot for backpackers or budget travellers.

This guesthouse is run by a very hard-working, trustworthy and kind woman. She clearly cares about her guests and I would recommend staying here foremost, but not only, for this reason. Her staff are also like her. She can help you organise other activities around Varanasi and is very fair. The location, 5 minutes walk from Assi Ghat, was also very convenient. You can take a sunrise boat from Assi Ghat, as well as watch the Aaarti at dawn or dusk from there. Do note as this hotel is very conveniently located just behind Assi Ghat and on a busy street, you will hear the busy street sounds below you late into the night, although this did not bother us. The restaurant attached to the hotel was also top notch. There are also lots of other restaurants and cafes around.

Everything about the hostel was beautiful. The setup, the ambience, attitude of staff, everything was top notch. We were made to feel like more than just customers here. Mr. Vikas Is an epic host and always makes his guests feel at home. You need anything at any time of the day, just tell him and it will be there. All of the guests who were strangers to each other celebrated one of the birthdays together and danced all night long. It was such a memorable day. The vibe here is unmatched and highest plus point is the location, which is walking distance from train and bus station of Varanasi. Highly recommended.
