Ollie was super welcoming and I felt comfortable from the first moment. The rooms and beds are big enough and have a homely feel to them. The breakfast is insanely good. Would recommend everything but definitely try the porridge with whisky, honey and cream. I'll definitely be back whenever I visit Edinburgh. Location is near the tram as well.

Birchwood Guest Lodge offers air-conditioned accommodation in Balmaha. Free WiFi and freee parking is available at the property. The owner welcomed me when I arrived late in the evening , tired from the west highland way, and was very kind and warm! He was helpful and patient even though it was pretty late. The room was decorated so special, and had everything I needed for a good night sleep. The shower is great. The location is close to the WHW trail and was the best choice. Very close to a pub and a coffee place. I would stay there again.

The owners are very friendly and polite. The staff is also very helpful. Excellent accomodation and amazing breakfast.

Lovely welcoming owners, great location to town which is two minutes down the road. The room is lovely with a fabulous view . Breakfast delicious and filling. Nothing is too much trouble . Most certainly the best B&B I have stayed in and will return . Bonus I got snow the last evening and had a very picturesque view this morning 🥰
