Atha safari resort is a wonderful hotel that I found in my destination for 2 weeks. My safari trip was arranged by Asanka, the owner of the hotel. A large number of animals could be seen there, and the large elephant ranch with calves was very attractive. In front of the hotel, you could see a very attractive background. Among them, the river that flows in the front is special. It was an unforgettable experience for us when we spent more than 5 hours in the river. The huge hammocks and beach chairs in front of the hotel are very attractive.In the morning, I was on the hammock and I could see a lot of animals like hawks, vaduras, peacocks, lizards, etc. The sweet chirping of birds, which continued for hours, was like music. The attractive jakuziya, rooms and walls made of stone, the special zone designed for yoga and meditation, showcase the creativity of the hotel's designer, Asanka. Good value for money, dinner was very good!! And the staff is very friendly. The beds are comfortable and the room is very clean! We took a safari with them and it was great. Totally recommend it

Offering an all - Suite immersive, luxury, wilderness living experience in Sri Lanka, Ahaspokuna is located in Belihul Oya, 22 mi from Nuwara Eliya. Bandarawela is 17 mi from the property. This is one of the best locations I’ve visited so far. Situated in a very remote area where there’s limited access to outer world. You have to take a basic nature trail to reach the destination which my family enjoyed much. once you entered the premises it’s like you stepped into another country. Very calm and peaceful environment so we need to adopt to the destination. I recommend this place to all nature lovers who look for places where you can blend with nature. Limited electricity so prepare yourself with backups. (power banks, flashlights, ect)

An exceptional stay in a well kept and sprawling property with friendly and accommodating staff and affordable and comfortable lodging options. A unique glamping experience where we enjoyed watching monkey mischief while relaxing by the pool, strolled through the manicured grounds and ate delicious meals from a wide ranging menu. The informative staff at the front desk assisted us with booking our 5:30am, 3.5 hour safari tour that afforded us the opportunity to watch the sun rise over Udawalawe park to the soundtrack of bird song. Our excellent guide, Nishante, pointed out a ton of animals with his eagle eye, two species of which we also saw. Highly recommend Kottawatta Village to anyone looking for a unique experience, surrounded by beautiful nature with the possibility to upgrade to luxurious options if so desired. A truly memorable experience!

Athgira River Camp is located at the door step of Udawalawe National Park with views of Rakwana River. It’s very close to Udawalawe reservoir and to the Elephant Orphanage. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The food was good and the pool area was nice. They arranged the safari to Udawalawe National Park. The driver took us around the park.
