What a hidden gem! For any lack of facilites, this camp makes up with kind people and the great services they provide. Especially for visitors who might be interested in learning about the lives of coastal Kenyans - this is an amazing opportunity to have a peek into their lives in a uniquelly authentic way. Here, you will have an experience that no hotel will provide. If you stick around at the camp during the day, they will pamper you with fresh coconuts, show you how to prepare cashews, take you canoeing to Mida (Captain Daniel is a great guide, unlike some other "guides" you will find on the coast, he actually posesses an abundance of knowlege and has great spirit - he is so fun to be around!), and show you how to make local food. A special shout-out to the ladies - their cooking is amazing! Definitely join their cooking classes or, if you are more into eating, they will make you a great supper with fresh local ingredients. This is a growing organization - for now they can provide only the essentials of facilities, but the prices are adjusted accordingly. Even if you decide to spend your nights elsewhere, be sure to visit the camp and ask about the activities they provide. Some of the best food I've eaten in Kenya so far, our room had an amazing view and didn't disappoint at all. The swimming pool was amazing and the staff are very friendly and attentive. The view of the moon rising while we were eating dinner was one of the best things I've ever witnessed. I'd recommend this to anybody in the area, it's paradise!

The camp is greatly integrated into the local atmosphere of Watamu. Waking up to the sound of the sea, birds and monkeys is priceless, The staff is nice and the facilities are also good.

The staff was fantastic! Everyone was so helpful and kind. I organized a tour from here and my guide was extremely knowledgeable with the birds. So many amazing birds here. The food was delicious. I would go upstairs at night and ended up sleeping up there so I could hear the sounds of nature and see the stars. I took public transportation here and the walk from the road was easy.
