The artistic history of the place is overwhelming (ask about your room number), and the recent renovations perfectly honor this and the building's original architectural beauty without compromising on modern comfort. Nothing corporate or institutional about this place; on the contrary, it's just dripping with character and whimsy. Don't miss the lobby bar, cafe, or especially El Quijote, as these are all exceedingly beautiful and luxurious. The staff are largely friendly and accommodating, and the building is well located (a straight 10min walk from Penn Station, close to Greenwich Village, etc.). Pretty crazy that a hotel could tempt me away from exploring Manhattan. I never wanted to leave, and can't wait to return.

Hotel is in a fantastic location walking distance to almost everything. We had a great room - big for New York standards with a view of the ball. The hotel is very modern with a good size bathroom. Staff where excellent room well appointed with everything we needed including umbrella - which we needed. Had a wonderful stay in New York City!

Located in the centre of New York, 300 metres from Top of the Rock, Hilton Club The Central at 5th New York provides air-conditioned rooms and free WiFi. This 3-star hotel offers a 24-hour front desk.... The location as well as the staff and rooms where amazing. It exceeded what we expected. The staff was on point, since they welcomed us, till after we've checked out (helped us with our bags storage and transportation to the airport)

Fantastic hotel. Room is really clean. Loved the minibar though items can be pricey. Really enjoyed club equinox facilities. Felt very safe in this location .
