Located in the hills surrounding Funchal, this 18th-century mansion is set in extensive botanical gardens with 600 different plant species. All rooms have balconies overlooking the gardens. We enjoyed the warm welcome at the front desk and by the concierge. Everyone working in the hotel is highly professional and very friendly. We felt taken care of by superb hosts in a wonderful environment, the gardens are just marvelous and the house radiates a warm coziness.

Orquidea opens out on to an extra-large roof-top terrace, overlooking Funchal and the Atlantic Ocean. good breakfast, parking underground around the corner.

The room is so big, great for a long holiday. The location is also very good. If you have a car, they have a car park. 10min walking distance to the Funchal city center. Breakfast is also great. Dedinetely reccommend this hotel!

The staff stood out - extremely friendly & helpful, always present. Fantastic breakfast, great restaurant in general.

Set in a historic building of central Funchal, Monte Carlo features a large elevated terrace and roof-top pool overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. It is located only 800 metres from the Funchal Marina. I love the service! The girls on desk is lovely. One is from madeira… the others is from Colombia! Amazing service! The last guy I don’t like the style is not friendly
