Set on Giudecca Island, Hotel Cipriani, A Belmond Hotel, Venice offers stunning views of Venice Lagoon and the Doge's Palace. Fabulous room with a beautiful view of the lagoon. The staff were excellent and catered to our every need. The views and scenery ( gardens, Olympic pool area etc) were stunning. Had the best fish meal ( turbot and asparagus) I’d ever tasted in a restaurant (and it was only the bar restaurant). The chocolates they gave us in the room on arrival were divine. Breakfast was lavish. We felt pampered the whole time and had a wonderful romantic holiday.

Along the pier are a few good restaurants and bars, which are not overrun at the moment. And of course with the water bus in walking distance, you can get to everywhere.
