Situated beside Malioboro Shopping Centre in the heart of Yogyakarta, the 5-star Melia Hotel features a freeform outdoor pool and a spa. Spacious rooms provide cable TV channels. Centrally located, great service, fantastic breakfast, nice pool. We paid for a superior room but it did not seem very big. It’s hard to find better service than hotels in Indonesia. And the price was very reasonable even in high season.

The hotel is close to Malioboro street (obviously) and in front of the train station, which is a plus for getting to Prambanan or Malang. The staff is nice and helpful, the room is modern and large with a comfy bed. The soundproof is ok considering the country standards. The restaurant food was also good! Also free water refill in the hallway so it’s a nice gesture to avoid plastic bottles.

I really like the ambience and coziness of the room. They even upgraded my booking and it was incredible. The staff was so polite. I can’t say the breakfast is exceptional, but it ranges from traditional to basic western type of breakfast. The location is just perfect if you would like to explore Malioboro and its offered leisures; not to mention the hotel’s walking distance to train station (airport train and local trains).

Mattress and pillow good. Friendly staff. Good range of breakfast. The staff whom send our luggage up cum doorman was suprisingly pleasant. The best staff we met thru our entire stay. Nearby convenient store. Train station opposite have lots of shop. Nearby malioboro street too.

A 3-minute stroll from the lively Malioboro Street, Hotel FortunaGrande Malioboro - formerly Hotel Dafam Fortuna offers a modern stay with an outdoor pool, spa and a restaurant. All was really good, just that the Pool was in maintaince, however, we could use it.
