I loved that Awaken was still new & less than a year old.
I loved that Awaken was still new & less than a year old. It was very clean & modern. Staff were very helpful especially Mila (guest relations) Breakfast had a great variety of food to choose from. The rooms were modern, clean with plenty of room. The infinity pool & view was lovely. Although some children I noticed jumped in pool & ran around too much. It was a shame the upstairs restaurant was not set up & operating yet. Overall though it was a lovely place to stay & I would highly recommend to others considering staying here.

It was a good city to stay for a short while. Beach was super nice and we really enjoyed Marble Mountains. However, it was also very touristy and just full of big hotels. If you wonder if you should stay in Hue or Hoi An, those places are better :)KajaGermany - 8.0Scored 8.0

There was beers on the beach massages on the beach all at reasonable rates. Taxis were ok on prices but need to check before getting into one. we used a private drivers organized through the hotel but had to use google translator to communicate also used grab which is like an uber type service which had set pricing for trips. Crossing the roads can be a game of life and death or frogger even at pedestrian crossings as no one stops for you.SStuartAustralia - 10Scored 10

Locals are friendly and the area is awesome. We stayed at the quieter end of the beach at Le Sands Hotel which was very special (the other end of the beach was very noisy). The city is a short 5 minute taxi ride away and the markets are great for shopping. Local street food was excellent. So many things to do in Da Nang and most people only stay a few days so I think they miss a lot. We stayed 12 nights and did the following activities. Ba Na hills - which we thought was overrated, Coconut village boat, Marble Mountain, Monkey Mountain with the lady buddha, Dragon bridge on Sat & Sun nights, Hoi An is 30 minutes away so there is plenty there too.DianeUnited Kingdom - 8.0Scored 8.0

The market with the dragon bridge was a nice short walk in the evenings where we eat most evening. The dragon shoots fire and than water out of it's mouth at 21:00 on a Saturday and Sunday,(not sure if this happens on Friday evenings.....also without doubt....do the trip to Ba Na Hills. We paid approx £100 for the two of us which include the private hotel taxi there and back. Ticket prices in and ....and the fantastic buffet at 'The Four Seasons Restaurant....one of the best buffets we've had. Try and get there by 9am there is a lot to see and enjoy.

The buffet breakfast has to be seen to be believed, we have never seen one so large with so many options. The kids really enjoyed Camp Hyatt, with its climbing wall, multiple pools, and many kids club activities. The beach in front of the hotel is a wide golden sand beach perfect for swimming. The only slight negative were the housekeeping staff who could do a better job of cleaning , but host was quick to address the issue

The hotel is located on the city side of Da nang, not the beach strip so beware of that. The hotel is brand new, they have the most incredible gym we’ve seen all across Vietnam, all with newest Technogym machines. We tried massages at the spa and that was also a fantastic experience.
