The Grey Owl Inn is by far the best place my wife and I have stayed in the last 30 years. Debbi went out of her way to ensure we had a great time. She even surprised my wife with a beautiful vase of flowers and box of chocolates as we were celebrating our 30 wedding anniversary.

Everyone was so nice, the view was amazing, the room was exceptionally clean, we loved our stay here so relaxing !!
This is a very quiet and relaxing place to visit. We enjoyed walking in Neptune Park, downtown, and on the Pier. We sat and watched fisherman at the pier for a long time. We saw dolphins playing in the ocean. We also enjoyed sitting at the pool area watching the ocean and listening to the music. It was a much needed and a quite successful trip!

We love St.
We love St. Simons Island and have stayed more than a month each of the past three years. While a bit busy during school vacation weeks in April, it’s navigable if you know to avoid the Pier and Frederica St. during busy times. The locals are very welcoming to visitors to their tennis and pickleball groups in public parks. We bike all 30 miles of the bike trails and drivers are much more courteous to cyclists than in many other cycling towns.

I absolutely love this place, second time here, unfortunately this time just for a night on our way back home.
Eat at Porch, walk around town with cute stores and drive around the beautiful streets.

St. Simon's Island is a quaint little Island with a quiet atmosphere. We visited in the winter and it was a perfect winter getaway. I imagine the summer time (Spring, fall) are very busy times with much more activity. We visited historical sites and enjoyed the beach and some down time (Which we really needed). The temperatures were in the 60's on Friday (in January!) but a cold front came in on Saturday and the temperatures dropped into the 40's for a high that day. The sun made the days feel warmer - and we enjoyed the leisurely pace of our visit. There are many restaurants (wish we could have tried more!) and some shops, too. We enjoyed the historical sites (World War II Homefront Museum,, Lighthouse museum) Christ Church, Ft. Fredricka, Bloody Marsh) there were other places to visit, we just didn't have enough time to see everything.

Downtown called the village is small but have plenty of restaurants & small shops, all close to the pier & lighthouse. Beach has nice sand & is very large further away from the pier. Rental bicycles, kayak tours, boat tours & few historical sites available also.
I found that it was a perfect location for relaxation, rest & enjoying the beach.

The island shuts down around 8 pm for food and any groceries you may need. It’s super buggy so get some OFF. The lighthouse was very interesting as was the Hamilton Plantation tour of the Slave Cabins made of tabby..the tour guides there are so informative and friendly.. we’re able to learn amazing historical facts about the entire island..

Location was awesome and peaceful. Also, the hosts were "very awesome" and understanding. Would definitely consider a second stay, if needed. Mainly because this was much more comfortable than a hotel. Because, we didn't have to find a parking space, and travel though the common areas with our luggage. Also, there's a gas station down the road for small needs. It's different, but the privacy and level of comfort are a big plus.
The whole place had a rustic holiday feel which was bright and cheery. The breakfast was good with enough choices to find something. The staff were very helpful and friendly. There were some really nice restaurants very close by to walk to and a short walk down the road leads to a lovely beach. There are free bikes to use and lots of cycle paths about. Hotel give you beach chairs to borrow if required.
The room was fantastic, loved the bathroom’s double vanity and spa tub especially! (Treetops Room) The breakfast was delicious too and everything was very fresh. The property itself is gorgeous as well. Great location, very close to a shopping and restaurant strip right on the shore. 20 min drive from Jekyll Island, about an hour and a half to Savannah. Plenty of fun places to explore in the area.
The Breakfast was very good. Hot, Fresh and Tasty. Good Variety of food. The staff on duty the days we were there were very professional and helpful. Courteous and Friendly. Room and bathroom were very clean. Hotel atmosphere was quiet and we felt very comfortable. Thank you.
It was a nice hotel, a little pricey, though. Due to Covid-19 breakfast was limited. The room wasn’t cleaned, in room coffee wasn’t replenished and the shampoo/conditioner dispenser was empty when I arrived. The bed was comfortable and the room was spacious.
Nice hotel, friendly staff. Breakfast was fine, lady running breakfast area kept it very clean and tidy. Suite nice and roomy for my family. Nice and clean.
Very good value for money. Beds comfortable.
Not too far to drive to beach/ lighthouse etc.
All staff were exceptional!! Very accommodating & friendly! The manager, Rob, ensured we had all the comforts we needed! Highly recommend this hotel & we will be staying here again!! The complimentary coffee machine in the lobby was a great plus!!
The Inn was beautiful and the grounds were imaculantly kept. The rooms are quite large and very comfortable. The breakfast was okay but I have had better at other hotels but the staff in the breakfast room were very friendly and helpful.
It was clean, quiet an design was beautiful! Only thing did not care for was the gay pride banner. You don’t see banners for heterosexual pride, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Black History, Presidents Day. Love the Hotel, would stay again.
This is the first time we decided to stay in a rental unit rather than a hotel. It was by far a great decision. The rental property was EXACTLY like we saw in the web page pictures. We would definitely rent from Sea Selah again.
The hotel is ideally situated in Pier Village close to lots of restaurants, shops, bars and the Pier. The hotel pool is a great size and well maintained. Our family room was a good size.
Location is great for walking to pier, park, shops, and restaurants. Hotel and room decor was very retro. Breakfast not included, but discount a nearby cafe with good food.
The view from our balcony was the star of the show. Grounds were lovely. We didn't realize when we booked that we were in a large conference grounds. Not a true hotel.
Everything from our check in to our check out was wonderful. The staff, the Hotel, the location and everything about our stay was perfect. We hope to be back very soon!!
Very clean and recently remodeled hotel. The breakfast was above average. I could see being very comfortable for a few days but it was just a stop over for us.
