We enjoyed our stay, right from the moment we arrived at the dockside entrance to the ship and were met by the greeter. We have enjoyed many cruises with Holland America and were keen to experience the older version of the ship. The breakfast buffett was amazing.

It was clean and reasonably priced. The location is very central and close to the cruise terminal. The staff was very kind. The lady who takes care of the breakfast makes eggs on demand. She did them exactly how I like. I will definitely book there again if I come back.

Having never been to Rotterdam we (my wife and I) were overwhelmed by the trams, the buildings the people and the atmosphere - it was electric. The museums were unbelievable (although unlike the UK you had to pay -but never mind it was worth it) The restaurants - what can I say -to die for.

What a great city, so much modern arquitecture of mouth-watering quality. Streets and squares designed with people in mind. And don’t forget to visit a home game of the top flight soccer team Feyenoord in their magical stadium de Kuip.

Traveling as two girls in Rotterdam was a great experience, as we always felt very safe. The places we visited, such as The Markthal, were amazing. We tried lots of different foods and were awed by the architecture, which was one of the main reasons we visited. Additionally, if you're traveling by car, be prepared for high parking costs. However, I highly recommend parking at Melanchtonweg and taking the train back to Rotterdam center if you're open to using public transport. Lastly, Jaffa Shoarma was a delightful experience with excellent falafel durums. It's a great spot for a late-night warm snack, and the music and people were very friendly and entertaining :)

Avoid this city at all costs.
Avoid this city at all costs. Between their sad and expensive food and their "too state of the art" architecture lies a city full of addicts and petty thieves.
Might recommend if you want to live a full Gotham city experience.

Very amenable city.
Very amenable city. Not as crowded or crazy as Amsterdam, but with plenty of sights to see especially considering that The Hague is within range of the metro. For one person traveling alone it would even make sense to stay in Rotterdam and commute to Amsterdam. Even after the cost of daily roundtrip intercity train fare you'll likely come out ahead on cost, and the train trip is only about 45 minutes.

Rotterdam was not as crowded as Amsterdam.
Rotterdam was not as crowded as Amsterdam. The transport was excellent and it was easy to get around, even in middle suburbs. Het Park was a lovely place to spend time in. Markhal was fun to look around.
Reasonable hotel for a location if you want to visit the University / Rotterdam Business School and the surrounding business park area. OK business hotel with actually a nice rich breakfast that gave good variety (cross-cultural options even). Pancakes comes from an automatic pancake machine. I like fresh pancakes but not these machined ones! So other than that part the breakfast is really good and if you can get it with the hotel rate - its a deal - though I am not sure I would splurge close to 20 Euros on it.
The boat hotel is quaint, friendly and located close to Rotterdam Zuid train station. My dog and I slept like logs. The breakfast was delicious and hearty. The surrounding area is great for a wander. Plenty of shops are around a corner. It's an idyllic hotel. I wouldn't swap the experience for any other hotel. Thank you kindly.
Panda and I stayed at this dog friendly hotel, en route to Rotterdam Europoort, having landed at Amsterdam that morning. The hotel helped arrange a taxi too.
I had an amazing stay at the Grand Hotel Central in Rotterdam. The location couldn't have been more perfect, right in the heart of the city. The staff, especially Cedric, were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to assist me with everything I needed. The hotel itself was spotlessly clean and provided a relaxing atmosphere. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Rotterdam; it truly made my trip memorable."
Perfect location in the centre of Rotterdam. Super comfortable bed with a modern and tasteful room decor. The bathroom had a huge shower, and it was well designed. The staff were lovely and very welcoming. The hotel has a cool parking option right next door to the front entry. It has parking stackers that park your car for you! The hotel is within walking distance to the shopping precinct, restaurants and bars.
Very modern and comfortable hotel. The rooms look small but they're quite comfortable thanks to their smart design. The staff is amazing and the lobby/common area is also very pleasant to spend time. Also, the location is very central and accessible for public transportation. Overall, I've been travelling to Rotterdam almost weekly for work and this hotel is my preferred place.
Great location, close to the heart of Rotterdam. The room was very clean and comfortable - nicely decorated. Good shower. Loved being able to check in and out using the machine - super quick. Even though the hotel is on de Meent with many busy bars and restaurants outside we didn’t hear a sound in our room - amazing. All in all a great stay.
Great location if attending the Rotterdam Ahoy - about a 15/20 minute walk.
Whilst it looks outdated and tired on the outside, the inside of the hotel is very nice and the bar area/reception were comfortable and social.
Large selection of beers in the reception area downside.
Large room with very modern bathroom and a great shower.
Great hotel, well located in the city center of Rotterdam. Plenty of rental bikes nearby. The breakfast is not directly in the hotel but in a partner café, it was huge and delicious! Efficient soundproofing of the rooms, there was a concert in front of the hotel and we heard absolutely nothing from our room.
The room was a good size and it was painted in orange color. I found the bed comfortably enough and the room was quite clean. It's next to the airport which I think it was very convenient. There is a bus stop a couple of minutes walk from the hotel, that takes you to downtown Rotterdam.
The hotel is located in a nice area, a bit quieter than the city center, which was appreciated. From there you can walk to Delfshaven, which is a nice old town part of Rotterdam. It's 4 mins walk to the nearest metro station, which is also very convenient.
The hotel is nicely located in the center of Rotterdam. It was only 10 minutes walk from the central train station. The room was exceptionally clean when we arrived, with regular housekeeping every day. It had a fridge and an electric kettle
Nice little hotel room n a renovated old house, a bit out of the center of Rotterdam, but with excellent public transportation into the city. The staff is friendly and welcoming and the breakfast is amazing.
Good Breakfast, a nice clean hotel, and a central location in Rotterdam near the main train station. Lots of shops and restaurants nearby, as well as access to the trams to get around the city.
The hotel is very clean and modern and is located near the Rotterdam Blaak Station and the Markthal, We felt safe walking around the area and there was much to see and do.
