Hmm, Eastbourne. Like many Victorian seaside resort towns, there is a faded glamour about it. The seafront and promenade are nice, and nearby Beachy Head is beautiful. Unfortunately, the town centre is a bit generic and down at heel, as well as the pier. Only about half of the restaurants seemed to be open. However, there are attempts at revitalisation, with the art gallery for example, and some of the larger houses outside of the centre look a bit genteel. Maybe gentrification will come soon, after people are priced out of Brighton, or dare I say it, Worthing and Hastings.

I was disappointed about the general cleanliness of the town and areas away from the sea front. Bins were emptied but litter around them in Marine parade was not cleared.
The gardens were full of weeds along the sea front beds and not the usual display of flowers The remnants of the Burlington Hotel remain an eyesore and spoil the once good image of the seafront. (May be its a listed building)

There are at least 3 theatres. The seafront is attractive. The pier is interesting and well worth a visit. There's a big shopping mall in the centre but within walking distance of the seafront. Lots of reasonably priced places to eat and drink.

Eastbourne has many facilities for short or a long stay.
Eastbourne has many facilities for short or a long stay. A pier, terraced walks along the front, pebbly beach, many bars and restaurants. The town is split into quarters such as artistic etc. If you take the time lots of nice places tucked away from tge centre. It has a modern shopping centre, very good transport both bus and rail. A Marina on the outskirts and close to exceptional countryside that is easy accessible.
The studio flat is very cosy and clean, it has all I needed for our stay . 2 adults and 1 child can just fit in this place, all sleeping in one room.
Everything is spotless, well equipped kitchen, quiet area, walking distance to the town centre.
Joanna was very helpful and communicated well, very flexible and friendly host!
It's more than a hotel room as it has a kitchen area and a laundry room to use. We have been shown a lounge and dining area too to use downstairs. Good value for money.
Highly recommended little studio flat!
Outstanding hotel. Perfect location, beautiful building with very attractive interior decoration. Comfortable bed and the room was very clean. Bathroom and shower were excellent. Good water pressure and lots of space. I had one of the cheapest and smallest rooms yet it was extremely comfortable and spacious. The building has great character and has been modernized with a lot of taste. I unreservedly recommend this hotel. In fact my room was better than the one I had when I stayed in the Grand Hotel a few years ago.
Although upon first entry of the establishment it may seem like your average cheap to stay at hotel, however the room almost looked as if it was rather expensive. The price though was a bargain. Facilities were very clean alongside the rest of the room. The staff were great and very efficient. I've stayed here multiple times as well as some other hotels in the area and I got to say this is definitely one I'll be returning to if not my main hotel I'll stay at whenever I visit Eastbourne.
Great village feel-like location in suburb of Eastbourne with 10 minutes easy car access to town centre and seafront. Excellent for nearby surrounding countryside walking and centrally good for exploration of sights and towns further afield across south downs. Nice cosy cottage base to come back to with two pubs and restaurant close by. Excellent cottage TV services for evenings in. Log burner a plus for comfort. Kitchen facilities very good. Nice clean modern bathroom.
Stayed 3 nights in a double deluxe with sea views.Room was clean throughout Location was good ,easy access to the seafront and shops Near to the train station. Brighton 30 mins away.accommodation was dated but adequate for what we wanted and price reasonable.parking was good but need to request a permit from reception on arrival for 2 pound a day. Not a lot of free parking near the hotel unless you are willing to walk for 5- 10 mins.
My room, which was lovely …. I was upgraded! The bed was one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in in a hotel. My room had a balcony with a fantastic view of the Eastbourne seafront and the Eastbourne Eye. The food was excellent and the staff friendly and professional. As a solo traveller I was made to feel most welcome and I will definitely book into the View Hotel on my next visit to Eastbourne!
Room is large, bed comfortable, there is a sofa to sit on and tea/coffee making facilities. The shower room was clean and well appointed. Breakfast was included in the price which offered various cooked options and cereals etc. The staff are welcoming and attentive at breakfast. Hotel has a car park and is situated within a 10 minute walk of the town centre, local restaurants and the seafront.
Room is really clean and comfortable. We got rear facing bedrooms as we got a cheap last minute deal, but hotel staff were really helpful and room was perfect for what we needed. They also let us keep our luggage for a few hours after checkout while we were exploring Eastbourne the same day. Will definitely be coming back if I'm ever in the area.
The hotel is easy to find and the location right on the seafront and near the pier and town centre is excellent.
The room was clean and a good size. The hotel allows dogs for a small surcharge. Breakfast was decent and included the usual suspects, bacon, sausage, beans etc and cold items like cereal and yoghurt.
The facility in the room was really amazing. Also the view from window was really good.i saw the beauty of the beach from my room window. All the facility was really nice. The room was really spacious and was really clean . We can spend a really great time with our family or with friends in Cavendish hotel
I had read a few reviews before visiting the Burlington so it was just about what I expected. A beautiful old fashioned hotel on a British seafront. It's clean and friendly, the food is good and the atmosphere fairly welcoming. A little run down but that doesn't get in the way. Eastbourne is lovely.
Location is literally few hundred yards from Eastbourne
Pier and 5 minutes from town centre . Couldn't be better.
Rooms are spotless and the owner / staff were very
helpful . Internet connection was excellent . Lots of options to eat within 3 minutes of the hotel .
Best bargain in Eastbourne !
The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The Hotel is located in a good location with the seafront and town centre a short walk away. The room was very quiet with very little noise outside. The facilities were good. Breakfast was very nice.
Wi Fi is free and a good signal-Some more expensive Hotels in the area have rubbish Wi Fi.
Regents Wi Fi had a good strong signal
Good Mattress
Very close to the beach.
Late night Tesco's and Coffee shops near by.
Decent Price
Highly recommended hotel.Excellent location:near the town centre and the seafront. The apartment had everything we need.Staff were very accommodating and always smiling.Place was clean and spacious.Didn’t hear any noise from outside.
This is a lovely two-bedroom apartment with a subtle view over the Eastbourne seafront.
Comfortable beds, two bathrooms, first floor but no stairs to climb, your own parking spot - what more could you want.
The hotel is very close to the beach front and from Eastbourne train station. The room was very clean and the staff was very kind and helpful as well. I would definitely consider coming back here.
Great location ( I lived in Eastbourne and I feel this is the nicest area of the seafront ) . It’s a clean well looked after hotel. Lovely breakfast . Sea view room was lovely.
