Pirna is an ideal base if you want to explore Saxon Switzerland. The Old Town is compact but very lovely. It has very tranquil ambiance, which suits travelers seeking a peaceful getaway. For the people to love old architecture, Pirna is a gem as it is completely unspoiled with modern concrete monsters. There are many great restaurants and cafes within the Old Town, though most close quite early. From Pirna, it only takes within less than 1 hour to get to Bastei, Bad Schandau or other smaller towns.AnFinland

This apartment is very good for two persons for medium or long stay. One of the main and the most beautiful town of Saxony, Dresden is very close from this place (about 30 minutes by train or car). Other places which are worth to visit like Konigstein fortress or a stone bridge in Bastei are also not far from this place. I'd like to recomend stay in Piran in Ferienwohnung Elbtraum to others also because of owner who is very helpful.SebastianPoland

In fact, I have not had a better bed on my travels. I would happily have stayed much longer than the 5 days I was there as the city of Pirna has a lot to offer. It is only a 20 minute train ride to Dresden and only 20 minutes to Bad Schandau and the Saxon Switzerland national park. The owners were very attentive to our needs. Wifi worked well. I recommend this apartment highly

The building and rooms fully fit the hotel's name and look very romantic, with old-fashioned but well-preserved furniture, carpets and wall pictures. The breakfast was very delicious and diverse. Staff was very friendly and helpful, speaking good English. The Internet was good.

Very decent restaurant on the ground floor, where you can eat supper and drink craft beer with a beautiful view of the old town. Beautiful interiors, with the climate of old times, but at the same time modern and comfortable. Very good breakfast. Very big room for bicycles with the possibility to charge batteries.

The walk into the old town was easy, maybe 10 or 15 minutes, and the town of Pirna seemed very safe, even at night walking to a restaurant for take-out. The train station had regular trains running into Dresden and down to other stations on the Elbe. Likewise, the bus service was regular and timely.

It is a lovely, spacious, and comfortable apartment with a well-equipped kitchen. Well located not far from the center of Pirna and the attractions of Saxon Switzerland are easily accessible by car. Lidl supermarket with a good bakery just opposite the place. Friendly and nice hosts.
