Skyscrapers and the frenzy of busy Sao Paulo are matched by countless gastronomic offerings, endless cultural activities, and a busy nightlife.
Founded by Jesuits in 1554, the city also known as Sampa became a powerful industrial hub in the late 19th-century with Greater Sao Paulo now boasting almost 20 million inhabitants. Attracting immigrants from all over the world, it became the most ethnically diverse city in Brazil.
Walk down Avenida Paulista and immerse yourself in one of the biggest economic centres in the world. This avenue also represents the heart of Brazil’s cultural scene, hosting numerous venues. Don’t miss the Museu de Arte de São Paulo, home of the biggest collection of Western Art in Latin America.
You can find Sao Paulo hotels in the lively centre, but if you’re looking for a more relaxed atmosphere you should check out hotels in Sao Paulo's Jardins neighbourhood. Offering a laid back feel with bohemian bars and artisan shops, Vila Madalena is also a good alternative.

I live here, so I have to deal with this city's problems every day. Traffic is heavy, service is subpar (but better than anywhere else in the nation), and crime and drug use have engulfed the downtown area and its immediate surroundings. The city is pretty ugly. Nevertheless, if you want a place in Brazil that's serious and actually features things to do, São Paulo is it. Once in a blue moon, someone speaks English; there's actual infrastructure for tourists; you can eat properly in a consistent manner; and there's always (and I mean always) something to do at night.

The city is a nice place for those looking for a variety of restaurants. It is a very expensive place, with an awful traffic, reasonable public transportation (outside rush hours, please), and some interesting cultural activities. Although the city is deemed unsafe, in the more central/fancy areas, it is as safe any other big metropole. There are also very good shopping options.

Sao Paulo isn't the biggest tourist place to go in Brazil but it has lots to do and it's amazing! We felt safe at all times but of course, we took precautions such as keeping our valuables out of sight. But at no point, we felt in danger.

One of the best cities in the world, reminds NYC for its size, skylines and demographic complexity, but with a better public transportation, tropical weather, way cleaner then NY and Paris, warmer and more welcoming people then most places in the world, food is way better then most big international cities and all the restaurants are not overpriced, basically the life quality in S.Paulo is superior to the mainstream big capitals of the world and you can basically live better then a king without being a millionaire.

There is too many homeless people but do not harm.
There is too many homeless people but do not harm. This only makes the environment dirty and smelly. If you secure yourself, if you do bot put yourself in a bad situation like going alone in the late night to somewhere yo do not know, this ofc attracts danger.
Sao Paulo is very nice. I believe 3-4 days will be enough for the city.
I highly recommend Ibirapuera Park. You can spend your whole day away from the chaos. And I can recommend Sala Sao Paulo. You can watch concerts inside, and it quite cheap.
10min walk to nearest underground
Located in a very safe area, lots of restaurants, caffes, 3min walk to a big supermarket,
Small gym a Sauna.
Small rooftop pool.
Our flight from London to Sao Paulo was landed just after 6:00am and we reached the hotel quite earlier than expected. The hotel reception was kindly allowed us to check in early without charging anything extra. So, this helped us to have a short nap and rest. I apricate hotel reception on this.
Front desk staff supervisor was super. All reception very helpful. The room was a very large corner suite with windows on two walls. High end fittings throughout the hotel. Verrry comfortable king bed. The property I would say is contemporary luxury, but not super luxury. We liked it enough to stay on two extra nights. Extra clean. Close (but not walkable) to Paulista Street with Sao Paulo museum and lots of A/C shopping malls. This is a great city.
Wonderful breakfast, great helpful reception and clean room with nice shower. WIFI worked well.
The hotel is bright and clean, simple and close to everything central. We walked to the Modern Art Museum. Close by are good restaurants for ever budget, some nice bars and few "eclectic venues". Sao Paulo is an urban mecca for street artists, broken pavements, cafes, bars and fun!
Everything is best about the hotel ,first thing i got early checking at 8 am which hotels in sao Paulo don't offer .
Then Lane and Marcos are so polite .i never met so polite and sweet people's ,i will miss them.
Location is best .
Have good park next to hotel where have love music on weekend .
Bus stop is just next to the hotel .
I will visit there again
The building and pool areas are beautiful, well decorated and cozy. The staff is amazing, always prepared to help and avaiable in different languages. The breakfast was an absolute delight, a mix of american breakfast, british breakfast and brazilian/tropical breakfast. Would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great place to stay in Sao Paulo.
I absolutely love the Hostel staff. I was here 3 times during my travels in Brazil and every time the vibe was amazing. They make sure you feel at home and included. Great place to meet people and really lovely space to hang out and chill, too. Tons of hammocks everywhere, a little roof terrace to sunbathe and quite decent breakfast, too ;)
The place was exceptionally clean and well maintained. Check in was super easy and fast. Excellent location. The shower looks much safer than all others we have encountered in Brazil, that was really nice. One thing to note, there is hot water but you need to use all the taps, this might be a bit unexpected, at least for non-Brazilians.
The hotel is located right on avenida Paulista, one of the best neighbourhoods of Sao Paulo, just in front of the metro station and close to many restaurants and bars. You can easily walk around even at night. It is a classic modern luxury hotel.
Probably the best place I've stayed in Brazil! I loved how my face was the key and I didn't have to deal with security people. It's in a good location. Bed was comfortable. Air Conditioning was good. Wifi was good. Everything just worked.
The staff were all incredibly helpful, they were the best thing about the hotel. It's a basic hotel, but decent enough. If you want a base to explore the centre of São Paulo during the daytime, you can't go wrong with the King Hotel.
This is my third time staying at this hotel and I'll be back for sure. Location is great, rooms are great, well equipped and clean. The gym is also pretty good. It's the best cost-benefit hotel I stayed in Sao Paulo.
the location is unbeatable! lots of cafes and restaurants around. walking everywhere. the hotel room is new and comfortable . it’s just too expensive for what it is but it’s São Paulo. breakfast is very nice .
Great location. Jardins is the best place to be if you are looking for easy access to São Paulo’s main attractions & this hotel is perfectly located in that respect. Wifi was really good. Staff were nice too.
Breakfast was good, staff was nice and attentive. Hotel is located near most central Sao Paulo touristic objectives. Grocery stores, coffee shops and restaurants are in walking distance too.
It was everything good the room and all the areas of hotel it was very clean the stuff it was helpful and also speak in English something that you don’t find easy in brazil
The hotel is modern and comfortable. The staff is kind and efficient. The location is central which can be very convenient depending on what you are doing in Sao Paulo.
