Keswick
With beautiful views of the Northern Fells, Ravenstone Lodge is 5 miles from Keswick, at the foot of Ullock Pike so you can relax in the conservatory or on the terrace and enjoy some of the best Lake District scenery. The view of the hotel is absolutely stunning! Sadly we are only staying for one night. We have a nice view from our room, and even a surprising sunset view from the toilet! We had dinner before heading to the hotel, but I instantly regretted it because the menu looks attractive and you could sit outside and look at the great view. The breakfast was very nice as well.

Our host met us as we arrived with a warm greeting and made sure we were comfortable and let us know how to get in touch if we needed anything. The cottage was fantastic, beautifully decorated and very comfortable in a peaceful country location. Very easy to find with the concise directions given before our arrival. The wood burner was a cosy bonus after a day’s sightseeing around the countryside. Perfect for a quiet country getaway.
Love the Pod. Our second stay. Spotlessly clean. The location in the heart of the countryside is beautiful. Quiet and peaceful.
The location had an excellent view over the Lake, It was a quiet and peaceful stay, A pleasant countryside walking area The facilities available were of an excellent standard
The cottage more than met our expectations. It was very clean and comfortable, with everything we needed, and more. The location is stunning. So peaceful and quiet, in the heart of the countryside. We loved watching the birds feeding out in the lovely garden. Thank you Gary for making us feel so welcome.
beautiful location, very convenient and close to the hiking routes. Beds were comfortable and we had a great night sleep after a long day. peaceful and quiet. hosts were very friendly and helpful, breakfast was very good and lunches can be pre ordered for the hikes. I got to say that the host makes the best flapjacks 10/10! thank you very much for an amazing stay! we will definitely be coming back.
Ideal for a quiet and peaceful get-away. A lovely location in the countryside. Good to get away from it all but take a torch or headlight as you will need it walking back from the pub at night! Taxi would be a short drive and probably recommended. Appleby and Dufton are the places I visited. Not too far away (short drive) plenty to see with great scenery.
The cottage is very nice and cosy, perfect for a holiday in a countryside. The village is very quiet and peaceful, ideal for a person from a big city to relax. The cottage was very clean, everything needed was at a presence. Special thanks to Andrew, the owner, who was extremely nice and helpful.
Set in a beautiful countryside location, with animals in the field behind us, this was a perfect place to spend a peaceful family Christmas together. The property was the best equipped one I have ever stayed in, everything we needed was to hand. The hot-tub and sauna added to the luxury of our stay, as did the tin of home made chocolate fudge the owners Emily and Gary left for us on our arrival. The property was very clean, warm and comfortable. We will definitely be returning soon!
This is our second stay at Briery Wood. It is a lovely country hotel. Very comfortable & clean and in its own beautiful grounds. It is in a nice quiet & peaceful setting but not too far from Ambleside and within walking distance of Brockhole where you can take part in the activities or walk around the gardens or go on a boat to Ambleside or Bowness The staff at the hotel are so friendly and welcoming and the food is lovely. We really enjoyed our stay here. Thank you for making us feel so welcome.
