Joyce is an amazing chef. she makes fresh squeezed juice for arrival and for breakfast daily. Her soups are delicious and warming, which is lovely for Tanzanian “winter”. Know that it is around 5deg F colder than in town. The pandemic has been hard on local family-owned businesses. Joyce built this guest house from the ground up. try something just a bit off the beaten path! Songota is charming. I am sure some can find things to complain about, but there is Holiday Inn for perfection, and Songota for charm and a local feel (though significantly more luxurious than typical local joints).
