Very nicely renovated old cottage close to town but rustic. Adorable friendly dogs and two peacocks. Lovely touches; with a nod to the fact that her property was formerly an equestrian center. Well equipped kitchen. Toiletries, dish soap, spices etc. provided. There is another larger house on the same property. We found that once the other guests checked into that property that our Wi-fi became more sporadic. We also lost hot water one day and when we contacted the owner to ask (she did not reach out to us) it turned out that the other guests has somehow turned off the hot water supply. No TV which is fine with us but may be a negative for some. The bathroom especially the shower would be a problem for a plus-size individual and the property is definitely not suitable if you’re mobility challenged. The owner is very friendly and laid back but available as needed. She provided the EIR code location (we had never heard of this, being from the US).

This is a little piece of heaven, the location is perfect and the property is outstanding. The attention to detail is wonderful and the hospitality from Val and Eilish is second to none. Many thanks for the welcome basket, it was very much appreciated. I would highly recommend The Belfry and cannot wait to make a return visit. Thank you for the most relaxing and enjoyable weekend we have possibly ever had! A big shout out to Louis for his visits - it made our stay even more memorable.

We brought our husky dog and a baby and it was perfect in every way. Quick drive to the beach and local pubs and restaurants. The house keeps the old world charm of the thatched cottage but also has updated facilities in the extension, so best of both worlds. It was warm, cosy with a well equipped kitchen and stylish bathroom. The location was central to tourist attractions and amenities, you could go off for a couple hours, come back and head back out again. We met our lovely hosts Mary and Robert when we arrived and got some tips for places to see, we enjoyed our stay in beautiful Co Wexford 😁👍
