Beautiful, new house with large glass windows. Comfortable dining space, kitchen and living room. Four comfortable bedrooms, two on the first floor and two on level -1. Plus four bathrooms. There is also a sauna on level -1 and a relaxation area (for an additional small fee). Plus a small garden. Peaceful and quiet neighborhood. Close to GaPa and Mittenwald.

Our stay in Garmisch was amazing, starting with our arrival at the chalet where Michael met us with the keys, opened the garage door for us upon arrival, and even had a Christmas tree put up and a fire in the fireplace when we walked in. He showed us around the amazing modern property (yes the theater and sauna are real), explaining how everything worked and left us his cell number in case we had any questions during our 5- day stay. When we did text him with questions, he always responded within just a few minutes. He gave us a wonderful recommendation for the best Italian restaurant in town that was a 5-minute walk from the chalet, as well as ideas for things to do in the area based on the upcoming weather for the week. The home itself is in a quiet area, but within a block of the train station. Venues we visited within a 5-minute walk are the Italian restaurant (Renzo...phenomenal), an Irish pub, and a bakery for morning pastries. The downtown shopping area is also within walking distance, but probably a 15 minute walk. We drove it, however, and parking was plentiful even during the Christmas market season. We travel a lot, both stateside and overseas, and this was probably our best experience ever when combining both the property and the host. Upon departure, Michael again met us at the property to pick up the keys and ask us about our week, bringing us a farewell gift of German pretzels from the bakery.

Location was close to the ski slopes and the apartment was clean and presentable. It looked even better than the pictures. Enjoyed our stay there and highly recommend it to others.

The location at the edge of town was beautiful. We were able to go for hikes straight from the front door. The view over the whole valley was lovely. The house was very comfortable and had lots of amenities. And the hostess was so generous and helpful. It's a fair walk to get there from the train/bus station, so be prepared to walk. And having someone in your party that speaks German would be very helpful, as the hostess does not speak much English.
