La marsa beach was right outside our guest house.
La marsa beach was right outside our guest house. We could walk to the main part of the beach and the shops and restaurants. We were out of season, visiting during Ramadan so it was relatively quiet. Some restaurants were not open at all, some only during the day, others only at night. We managed to find somewhere to eat every day. I can recommend the Cliff restaurant, Pasta mi Basta (very accommodating with our friend who had various intolerances), Kenko food bar and Blu Blu (Sidi Bou). There was a supermarket which catered for our needs. We also visited the capital Tunis and Sidi Bou Said which had lovely shops and stunning views.TraceyUnited Kingdom - 8.0Scored 8.0

Very clean and beautiful house. Esma and son were accommodating hosts. We were expecting a hotel rather than a B&B. Bed had partial walls on both sides with shelves so easy to bump head or body. Breakfast was the same both days—Tasty and fresh but nothing memorable. Several restaurants within 5 minutes walk. Bakery as well. Value for money seems a little expensive.

It is a very well renovated, refurbished and managed traditional Tunisian mansion, with the most lovely small details. It is not only in mint condition (especially for Tunisian standards) it also staffed by the most wonderful team of people. Manager Yassin, Elyes and of course Molka thank you so much for my wonderful stay. I will definitely come back in the nearby future. Garden pool - perfect for a swim in 40 degrees heat. Our bed on top 3rd floor was comfy and we had great views. Reception staff speaks excellent english (Farah was lovely) and you can pay by card in eur/gbp/usd (rare in Tunis). Hotel is a home to a doggy and 2 kittens, it felt very safe. I would recommend it to solo female travellers.

The patio is an amazing place to spend some time and rest, and the rooms are very nice with private bathrooms. The best part of Dar Souad is the staff, the two sisters in charge of it are very helpful and have good advises to move around the area. The rest of the staff is also fantastic, very good cookers also! I would come back for sure!
