Mariestad calls it self sjötown but for example in the town...
Mariestad calls it self sjötown but for example in the town it self is not a single swimming place. You will have to go outside of town and really know where to go if you want to get to swim on a beach or with small kid. Guest harbour was nice and had small cosy foodcourt.JyriFinland

The guesthouse is a little heaven in the surroundings of Mariestad, it is well maintained, with a bountiful garden full of fruits and veggies, and a chicken coop. We stayed in the room with private bathroom (Rembrandt), very comfortable and nicely decorated. Breakfast was amazing, with fresh juices and homemade delicacies. I also enjoyed a yoga class in Alexandra's studio, very peaceful. We absolutely recommend this 'feel good' place :)

Central building is very nice and cosy, although other buildings looks a bit dated. And there was free coffee and pastry at evening :)

Had a nice outdoor bar area/deck which was great as we had excellent weather. Also good vale for money.
