The hotel was clean, quiet and perfect for our overnight stop over on route south. It was good value for money and happy to accept our dog, for a small fee.
The staff were helpful. Tea and coffee was available from reception 24/7. We didn’t partake of breakfast but it looked like a nice selection for the price. There is no food available in the evenings but people were eating takeaway food in the breakfast area, which appeared to be acceptable. There was a large Auchan supermarket opposite, so we picnicked.. The bed was enormous and extremely comfortable, providing for a good night’s rest. Great bathroom and shower too. Appeared to be relatively new.
The area was easy access from the motorway and easy distance from Porto. We had a good view from our window of the Roman aqueduct which runs through town.

The dinner was very good (food quality and service).
The "brown" pool was also very welcome after a long hot day of walking.

The room was quaint and spotless, in a beautiful old building with lovely bright artwork on the walls, an ornate stairwell, lovely host who gave us all the information we needed about the metro, restaurants, shops, etc. The location was perfect, 5 minutes to the metro, 5 minutes to little supermarkets, 10 minutes down to the beautiful beach, warm and close to a beautiful big cathedral-type church.

Vila do Condo upon first sight looks nice. It’s on the river and the square with the flowers is really nice. Once you go out of the square and into the town you see that it is very run down and unkept. The local youths didn’t take kindly to our accompanying teenage football team and on one evening chased a group of them out of town threatening violence towards them. This is one location I will not return to

Vila do Conde is a pretty town on the coast.
Vila do Conde is a pretty town on the coast. Easy to get to from Porto on the Metro. We also had a day out to Povoa de Varzim on the metro which is just a couple of stops away.
Vila do Conde has a few interesting museums relating to its history and development. Lots of opportunities to walk, a number of beaches and plenty of restaurants and bars, a great place for a short break in the sunshine.

The places we liked most in Vila do Conde were: a) the top of the hill with an old monastery and the 16th century aqueduct (2nd longest in Portugal), with a great view of the historic center; b) a truly wonderful restaurant -- REPUBLICA -- at 83 Praca da Republica, both food and service were great, and the interior is very pleasant; and c) within a 3-minute walk from the restaurant the Naval Construction Museum and a replica of a ship outside from the Age of Discoveries.

This is more of a guest house .
This is more of a guest house . It is above a bistro, There was no breakfast and when bistro was closed no one to provide assistance. The location is excellent across the street from the river with access to walk to shore. Staff was friendly and helpful when available. We chose it as it is on the coast north of Porto and close to the airport. Room and bed were small, but comfortable. We stayed only one night so it met our needs. Interesting town to explore.

Great little town, seems to have a lot to offer if you like quiet little towns. Not too built up, nice small town feel to it. We didn't have time to explore much - yet - but will definitely come back
The hotel was so historic. The host/owner had so much information on the place. You could tell he was very proud of the work that had been done on the place. We chose to have supper there. Paulo was our waiter and he was pleasant, kind and easy to communicate with. We are not fluent in Portuguese although we tried hard, he spoke good English and so that made it easy. The surroundings were beautiful.
Amazing facilities, with high quality bathroom and bed. We had our own balcony with a view of the old aqueduct. The owner/manager was helpful and friendly. We got an insight into modern Portuguese life when speaking with him. The restaurant in the hotel was excellent, with superb wine, and very good value. Good location - walking distance from the beach, the supermarket, and the town centre.
We booked this pllace walkong the camino we arrived late inthe afternoon. An hour before a water pipe burst, flooding the entire place. Eventhough everything in the town was booked up they found us a very nice place for the night close by. I hope they get there hotel running again, CUSTOMER CARE and HOSPITALITY is written here with capital letters.
Great apartment, lots of space, very clean, comfortable bed, plenty of kitchen utensils. Helpful hints for restaurants. Easy to walk to everywhere in Vila do Conde. Our only regret is that we could only stay one night. We definitely would stay again.
The best place in Vila do Conde! The staff is so kind and professional, the rooms are clean, the breakfast is amazing, the beds are so comfy, the pool is open 24h, what else can we ask? We traveled with our puppy and it was such a please! Thank you!
Excellent refurbished space which has resulted in a very stylish room. It's spacious and well thought out. We benefitted from a complimentary breakfast with home roasted coffee which was very good. This will not be free in the future apparently.
Diogo, the host, is nice and welcoming person. The apartment is spacious, has everything for a daily routine and is good for longer stays. Coffee machine is a great plus. Also, the ocean view is absolutely stunning. Totally recommend.
It was a 5 minute walk from the center of Vila do Conde and even if we wanted to go to Porto it was near a metro station. They had a very good exterior area with a nice garden and an extraordinary pool
This is the perfect piece of heaven in the centre of Vila do Conde. Ideal for those walking the Camino de Santiago, like myself. Emanuel is the perfect host and I would recommend.
Room clean, owners spoke excellent English, location perfect for my needs. A quiet hotel with plenty of cafes and restaurants locally within easy walking distance
