The hotel is right in the centre of the town near to the sights and restaurants. But be aware it is on a steep hill. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There was a good selection for breakfast. We had a junior suite with a good sized bathroom with shower and with a small balcony which offered a lovely view across the roof tops.

Volterra is a nice hilltop town with a few churches and museums. The shopkeepers are friendly and they have some lovely artisan products. There is a large outdoor market on Fridays when the whole place has a wonderful atmosphere. The alabaster sculpture are stunning and unusual. There are a couple of good supermarkets with tasty deli selections. It well located for visiting other cities and towns in Tuscany.

The villa was a wonderful place to stay!

The villa was a wonderful place to stay! The building was built in the 15th century but has all the modern amenities. Our host/owner Luca was so accommodating in every way. His staff prepared a delicious breakfast each morning with many varieties of local cuisine. He had even prepared a map and detailed itinerary for several day trips if we wanted to explore the surrounding towns and other sights. This hotel was an excellent find.

Volterra is a beautiful historic town and walking around the narrow streets feels like stepping back several centuries in time. Walking around the traffic free central area was a pleasure. We visited several historic buildings including the beautiful cathedral. Also some excellent museums with great collections and works of art. There are many lovely restaurants and cafes too which make Volterra well worth a visit.

The owners and staff are very friendly. The hotel is located in the center of Volterra, so it is not accessible by car. Parking garage (P1) is very close, and access to the hotel is not difficult. The hotel is arranged in a medieval building, and there are many stairs leading to the upper floors. There is a terrace above the hotel where guests can peacefully enjoy coffee and the view of Volterra's rooftops. The owner is delighted to offer advice about where to purchase excellent local wine at reasonable prices.

Newly established house with comfortable appartments furnished with soul and taste. Standing on the hill, it offers magnificant scenic views over Tuscany landscape. 15 minutes by car brings you to the heart of magic Volterra city. Excellent local breakfast is served in the morning at the terrace. Last but not least, the house is run by very pleasant and friendly couple who have renovated the property almost by themselves. The final impression includes Angelo, huge friendly dog who gave us warm welcome.

We like everything about the hotel. The facilities are great, but what makes it special is the owner - Luca family. We arrived late, but Luca switched on the light of swimming pool for us, and let us use the plate for dinner. The breakfast is the highlight of this hotel. Luca and his wife cook everyday to ensure guests can enjoy the fresh and amazing Italian food. In addition, This is a family run hotel. You can feel the whole family tried to make you feel at home .

We had a fabulous night at this charming hotel run by lorella - the room was spotless with a very comfortable bed and great bathroom. We arrived before our check in time but they made our room ready and gave us a welcome coffee on arrival. We had a delicious dinner that evening. We highly recommend this as a great stop - the bus to and from volterra higher stops right outside the hotel - thank u

The best place to rest in a tactic position at 10 minutes to Volterra and 20 minutes to San Gimignano. The nature of those hills is so good, you get up with an amazing view and sounds of sweet birds everywhere. They treated us like home, that couple is the best! You have to go there, you will never regret that! I will surely come back there!
