This cabin is tucked back within the trees, very private, and super cozy. The interior is warm and welcoming, with lots of finished and unfinished wooden floors and walls. Very well appointed kitchen with everything you need to cook any meal. Great location along the Golden Circle with easy access to some local hot springs, hikes, and restaurants. Comfortable beds, quiet location, highly recommend.

Loved the old school-house feel. Super convenient to walk down to the hot springs just downhill. All the communal rooms for dining and hanging out made this place feel extra homey. The staff we met were amazing and welcoming.

I loved this place.
I loved this place. It was perfect location for different places to visit such as Geyster, Pingvilllar (National Park), etc. The accommodation was cosy and lovely. The owners were friendly, helpful and thoughtful; always informed me and my friends about the weather and issues with the hire car. We loved the scenery of the lake especially visiting the hot geothermal bath nearly every night. the last night before we returned to the city, we saw Northern Lights! that was the highlight of the short break. We would go back and stay there again. Loved it.

We chose it as a night stop between golden circle and Vik; village has thermal baths but we had already had thermal spa at blue lagoon, so we didn’t try these baths; There are at least three places for dinner :) The village is not worth for a longer stay or you can find a more attractive place ;)AAnonymousLithuania - 8.0Scored 8.0

My guesthouse was comfortable and pleasant.
My guesthouse was comfortable and pleasant. I wished I had more time to enjoy the Fortuna. My hike at 10pm was delightful. I cannot recall ever smelling fresher air. The lupines, birches and pines were lovely. It was easy to get to all of the sites on the Golden Circle from there. Would gladly go back.

The rooms are small and basic but clean and comfortable. I realized that I stayed here (in the same room!) 10 years ago when it was a youth hostel. There is a nice common area with a view of the lake, coffee and tea and a bar. The breakfast was nice (not included) and there is a lovely bistro a short walk away and a basic grocery next door. The bird life along and on the lake is wonderful - we heard lions calling in the evening. Fontana spa is nearby.JenniferUnited States of America

There is even a bbq grill outdoor. Great privacy and best value for family traveling. Highly recommended!
