Staff and location excellent. The room we got was right beside a extractor fan and buzzed all night. Noise from a nice club kept us awake till 2am. Nine euro for a very small glass of wine was very pricey. Breakfast very ordinary and could have been hotter.

The Lily of the Lake
Overlooking the tranquil waters of Lough Leane, colourful Killarney is a top Irish tourist destination. The UNESCO-listed Killarney National Park surrounds Muckross House, a stately home sitting in large grounds with a traditional farm.
A tree-lined lane leads to Muckross Abbey, a former Franciscan monastery whose cloisters enclose a tall yew tree. Celtic crosses line the cemetery and beyond is the lake, at the centre of which is a tree-lined outcrop, home of the historic Ross Castle. This 15th-century stone fortress once housed the O’Donoghue clan, one of whom reportedly lives at the bottom of the lough.
More legends envelop the Ring of Kerry – a scenic drive starting from Killarney and supposedly the last place to spot a leprechaun. Gushing Torc waterfall is just one of its fantastic sights.
In Killarney itself, horse-drawn carts roam narrow streets whose Irish pubs offer great nightlife. Impressive St Mary’s Cathedral has a towering spire and somewhat dark interior. The local gaelic football team play at Fitzgerald Stadium, and more sports can be enjoyed at Killarney riding stables and the nearby golf and fishing club. There is also a popular racecourse.
Accommodation in Killarney on Booking.com includes 5-star lakeside hotels, B&Bs near the train station and town centre guest houses. All with that trademark Irish hospitality.
Beautiful enchanting clean community. All the magic of fairytale Ireland. 1.5 days to squeeze everything in. Great shopping. Loved Muckross Craft store, dining, National Park, gift stores, quality of food, Ross Castle a must tour. Walked past swampy bogs, and downtown streets. As horse owners we were uncomfortable with the horse drawn carriages. Need at least 1 month to see and do! Great gateway to Ring of Kerry, Conor Pass, Kenmare. Loved the expansive mountains and sheep grazing everywhere in the open wild countryside. Off to Dingle......

Hotel beautiful perfect.
Hotel beautiful perfect. My wife who always traveled with me died earlier this year of MND Disease and I was visiting all the places we you to stay on our trips. As I have already said the parking ticket I got for parking in what I was led to believe was a disabled zone has put a very bad taste in my mouth. I would have to think seriously about visiting Killarney again.

There is so much to do in and around Killarney that your stay will not be long enough ! While some Hotels and Rental properties would seem to be somewhat expensive you can also find some which are really good value and of a good standard if you do the research !

We were very disappointed that the Killarney National Park visitor center and Ross Castle weren’t open and especially that there was no acknowledgement of that on their website. That was our main reason to visit Killarney. Understandable about due to weather, but the visitor center was due to renovations.

We had a great time.
We had a great time. Went to a Fureys concert, did the Ring of Kerry, visited the Tralee museum, had a super Indian meal, the Guinness was super. It's my 8th visit to Killarney. I'm finding the prices are getting much higher in town.
Lovely hotel perfect location, food was delicious well served well priced with plenty on the plate.
Nice relaxing hotel lounge was quiet but week day in February what would you expect.
The staff where nice and welcoming, and two min walk from town centre great hotel all and all and for 86e what a brilliant bargain .
I'll be staying again summer time I could only imagine the atmosphere that time of year.
I really enjoyed my stay thanks killarney Avenue, peaceful nice two day break away couldn't ask for better.
We brought my in laws to Ireland as a Christmas present and all was well until my father in laws health took a bad turn and he was having a difficult time walking. The Brehon staff quickly acquired a wheel chair that we were given free use of for several days. His ability to walk has returned for the present and we were very lucky to have such accommodating staff and such a magnificent hotel. The spa was absolutely magnificent and the food and service at the bar was stellar.
this may sound funny, but this hotel had the most comfortable beds and nicest appointments of any place. We stayed in Ireland. It was such a pleasure to arrive on a cold, rainy night and have a toasty room with overstuffed beds in pillars waiting for us. The staff is so accommodating and showing us where to go in town and sadist up with a reservation at the hardest to get in spot.
On arrival the staff very welcoming and helpful, the hotel was highly clean and inviting, the room was ideal, spacious and extremely comfotable, and more then i expected for price. The meals were exceptional especially thecbreakfast inclusive. The amenities and club vitae were of very good to hight standard and it was close to town centre a 5 min taxi at most. Very satisfied
This was our favorite stay on our trip to Ireland! Conor and Bridget were exceptional hosts. The location was stunning, the decor was beautiful, and the breakfast was the best we’ve had in Ireland so far - everything fresh and local. Spending time in the sunroom and honor bar was so much fun and it really was only a short walk into town.
Mr. Huggard was so willing to help, as was the rest of the staff. They were so incredibly friendly and made us feel very welcome ensuring we had the best stay possible (even though it was apparent we were not from the area). We traveled all over Ireland for a week and The Lake Hotel was our favorite place to stay.
Best Hotel I’ve stayed in during my 2 week vacation in Ireland! The staff is top notch, friendly and welcoming. The beds are extremely comfortable and the food is great. Location is superb. Will stay here again and again!
Great value for money. Excellent facilities for a small hotel/guest house. Lovely breakfast and staff were welcoming and friendly. Great location, quiet but within walking distance of the town centre.
The hotel is located in a good location, literally only a few minutes walk from the town centre. The cocktails in the bar were good and the 24 hour shop directly opposite the hotel is extremely handy!
The location of hotel is perfect, close to national park and the town centre, hotel room is great loads of room an the beds are so comfortable, food in hotel is also great, highly recommend 😀

Very comfortable room that felt like a hotel. Friendly and accommodating staff and good breakfast offered. Also very close to the town centre, and major attractions
Breakfasts were the best in all of Ireland. The staff are also the best! Norita is the best chef in town and so welcoming! She made our visit very special!
