Parikia is a good place to begin your travels of Paros. it is a convenient location to base yourself in as there is a bus terminal that allows you to take a short ride to Naoussa and surrounding areas. Overall, we preffered the small village of Aliki for a longer stay, as it was quiter and had a more relaxing vibe. The beaches in Parikia were not overly special, and I would not advise staying here if you desire luxury scenery. If you wish to visit the nicer beaches, definitely hire an ATV. Parikia used to be the black sheep of the family concerning Paros villages. Eveyone told me that Naoussa is the best place to be. I beg to differ. Paros has come under a big progress restaurant wise and is one of the few greek islands where you can have so many options in dining, especially italian. The only thing missing from Parikia is a bar or club where people can dance all night. It's the puzzle piece that will complete the upgrade.

You wont find a decent restaurant even tho there are numerous ones to choose from .......... I have been to numerous locations in Greece and so i can speak from experience. George and his wife are the best hosts we have ever had. They are incredibly welcoming and go out of their way to ensure that your stay is perfect. Their compassionate customer service is top notch. The room was everything that we hoped for. The third floor veranda gave us the best view of the island. The location was ideal as it was a short walk to port and many bars and restaurants in town. We would highly recommend Kontaratos to anyone visiting Paros.

Even after I left Paros, he gave me his card so I can contact him if I had some issue. Meanwhile, I stayed in two rooms and was satisfied with the 2nd room especially. We received a warm welcome from Nicholas who offered us water , ran up the stairs with our heavy bags and showed us to our room. They bedroom opened up onto the pool which made things very easy. The hotel offered a rental car service aswell which made it easy to explore the island. The two owners also gave us very useful tips for Paros including restaurants and places to see and do. Location was ideal, just 5-10 minute walk to the main town/port.
